Perrin orders that all wolfhead banners in the camp be burned, wanting people to rally to Rand instead of to him.

The Asha'man will try linking with the Wise Ones to create larger gateways. A group will be sent to Cairhien to gather information, and there is talk of sending scouts to Rand to ask for more Asha'man.

Perrin later insists that Morgase and Tallanvor be married, but Morgase refuses, telling Perrin not to get involved in such affairs, or to at least consult with his wife before making such a command.

Morgase overhears a group of Maidens telling Perrin that there are Whitecloaks on the road directly in front of them.
