13. Towers of Midnight - Chapter 32 - A Storm of Light - Chapter Summary

Bashere's army arrives in Maradon and secures most of the city. As Ituralde meets with Bashere, an enormous force of Trollocs heads south toward the city. Bashere thinks to abandon Maradon, but Rand appears and says that he will not give up.

Rand and several Maidens go through a gateway to meet the Trolloc army alone. Rand glows with light that Ituralde can see. Rand uses the Power to defeat the entire force of Trollocs.

Torkumen is found to have put out his own eyes because he, revealing that he is a Darkfriend, could not bear to look at the light that came from Rand.

Rand returns to Tear with the army. Rand realizes that he can't allow the Dark One draw him into such battles. Rand will leave the war to his army. He will meet with Tenobia tomorrow.

Min's studies have led her to believe that Callandor is flawed in a way that will make Rand vulnerable to attack.

Rand reunites Ituralde with the King of Arad Doman, who was never in Graendal's custody, but had been with Aes Sedai escorting him to the White Tower, delayed by winter snows.
