Rand finds himself in a Tel'aran'rhiod-like place where he meets Ishamael, who is now Moridin. He recognizes him as the man whose balefire touched his in Shadar Logoth.

In this place, Rand doesn't see visions of Mat and Perrin, and Lews Therin isn't in his head.

Moridin says that the Dark One will eventually end time, if not in this age then in a future one. Rand wants to destroy the Dark One so time can continue without threat.

Moridin says that he and Rand are connected in some way that Moridin doesn't understand.

From studying Herid Fel's books, Min believes that Rand will have to break the seals on the Dark One's prison before he can seal the Bore.

Amys and Aviendha learn that the Seanchan are flaunting leashed Shaido prisoners, and they know that the Aiel will want to go to war with the Seanchan, but it will have to wait until after the Last Battle.
