A guide to completing the second Hand Trap level in World 8 in Super Mario Bros 3 for the Nintendo Entertainment System.

How to Clear World 8 Hand Trap 2

Go to the right and walk onto the bridge segment. There is a Podoboo (fireball) going up and down from the lava below. Carefully jump from platform to platform, getting the coins while avoiding the Podoboos. Then go up the pipe at the end and open the chest to get a Super Leaf.

After the Level

When you go to the left, there is a 50% chance that a hand will pull you into the left trap when you walk on it. If you aren't pulled into the trap, you can either continue to the left if you don't want to do the level, or you can press A while standing on the trap if you do want to do the level. There is one remaining Hand Trap level: World 8 Hand Trap 3.

If you get past all the Hand Traps, you can continue to the World 8 Airship.
