A guide to completing World 7-5 in Super Mario Bros 3 for the Nintendo Entertainment System.

How to Clear World 7-5

Go into any of the three pipes. Then go to the right and get past the two Green Paratroopas, and go up the pipe after that.

You can ignore the Red Koopa Troopas and just go to the right side of the room, and down the pipe.

There are three Bob-ombs to the right. Stomp them, run a short distance away, and wait for them to explode. Then go to the right, and if you're tall, run and crouch to slide through the narrow gap.

Jump up through the hole and you will be blocked by hidden Blocks. Reveal both hidden blocks in this hole. Then go to the right and stand next to an Ice Brick and hold the run button to take it, and kick it to the right. If you're tall, you can take the next Ice Brick, or just run and crouch past the Ice Bricks.

After that, get past the two Green Koopa Troopas. Then jump up through the hole and you will be blocked by hidden Blocks. As before, reveal both hidden blocks in this hole.

Then, if you want a Super Leaf and you're Super Mario already, or you're small and want a Super Mushroom, go to the right side of the room and go up the pipe. Hit the ? Block to get a Super Mushroom or Super Leaf. Then go back down the pipe.

Now jump up onto the ledge on the left. The five ? Blocks here all contain coins. Then if you want a 1UP Mushroom, go up the first pipe to the left of you, but before you jump up through the hole above this pipe, make sure you are all the way against the right side of this small area. Then jump straight up to make a 1UP Mushroom appear from a hidden block in that hole. Quickly go down the pipe, then go up the pipe to your left, and you should get the 1UP Mushroom.

If you don't want a Super Mushroom or Fire Flower, skip this paragraph. If you're tall and you want a Fire Flower, or you're small and you want a Super Mushroom, jump up through the hole (this one doesn't have a hidden block), then run to the left until you reach the left wall, and fall through the hole. Then go down the pipe and hit the ? Block to get a Super Mushroom or Fire Flower. Don't go back up the pipe, because it has a hidden block that turns the room into a dead end. Instead, jump over the wall on the left, then go to the right and jump up onto the ledge, then go left and go up through the second pipe.

Jump up through the hole in this room, then go to the right without falling down through any holes, until you reach the final hole, just before a brick in the wall. Fall down through the hole and go down the pipe there.

Go to the right and get the three coins, then get past the three Green Paratroopers, hit the ? Blocks if you wish, and make a running jump to get on top of the bricks. Go up the pipe above them.

Jump onto the ledge on the right. If you don't make the jump, the hole above you has hidden blocks, so you have to go to the right and get past a Bob-omb. Go to the right and jump onto the pipe, but don't go down it. Stand next to Ice Bricks and hole the run button to take some and kick them at the Green Koopa Troopa. Keep getting rid of Ice Bricks until you can go to the right side of the room, where there is a pipe. Go down the pipe.

Go to the right and try jumping up through the hole, and you will be blocked by hidden blocks. Reveal all the hidden blocks, which cover the entire hole, then go to the left and go back up the pipe.

Jump onto the ledge on the left, then try jumping up through the hole, and there will be more hidden blocks. Reveal all the hidden blocks, which again cover the entire hole, then go left and jump over the gap to land on the pipe, but don't go down it. Instead, jump onto the ledge on the left that has a Red Koopa Troopa.

If you missed anything in the previous part of the level, you can try to use the Koopa Shell to break the brick in the wall, but you may need to be small to get through the hole.

Otherwise, jump up to the upper ledge on the right, and go to the right, over the hidden blocks that you revealed earlier. Keep going to the right, and you will reach a pipe at the end, but don't go down it yet. Stand next to the right wall and jump straight up to reveal a 1UP Mushroom. Then go down the pipe.

Go to the right, over the hidden blocks you revealed earlier, and go up the pipe at the end. Hit the Goal Block to complete the level.

After the Level

You can go to the right, but the pipe leads to a dead end. Past the pipe, there is a Toad House where you can get a Frog Suit, Tanooki Suit, or Hammer Suit.

If you didn't already, you can optionally go to the Spade House for a chance to get 1UPs.

Otherwise, you can continue to World 7-4. If you already completed it, you can go down the pipe to reach the first Piranha Plant level of World 7 (where you can get a P Wing) and the first fortress of World 7.
