How to Clear the World 8 Airship

You start on a platform with a Rocket Engine on the back. This is followed by four platforms, each with a Rocky Wrench in the middle, and a Rocket Engine on the back. Some of the platforms are pretty far apart from each other, so be sure to jump to the next one as soon as it appears on screen. After that, there is one platform that has no Rocky Wrench but does have a Rocket Engine on the back.

Next, there is a Rocky Wrench/Rocket Engine platform, a platform with only a Rocket Engine, and another Rocky Wrench/Rocket Engine platform. Then there is a larger platform that has a wooden crate in the middle, and two Rocket Engines on the back.

Next, there is a Rocky Wrench/Rocket Engine platform, a platform with only a Rocket Engine, and then five Rocky Wrench/Rocket Engine platforms that are far apart from each other, so be sure to jump to the next one as soon as it appears on screen.

After that, you reach the platform that has the pipe leading down to the boss of the airship.

Boom Boom

Boom Boom will move left and right, and sometimes he will crouch and slide. Whenever he crouches, his spiky shell is not safe to stomp on. Try to stomp on him when he is running around. You can also hit him with fireballs. After you stomp him the first time, he will start flying in the air, going left and right, then he sometimes stops and swoops down, then lands on the ground and crouches, showing his spiky shell. Try to stomp him just after he starts flying again. After you stomp on him a second time, he will very quickly run left and right, so jump carefully to avoid letting him bump into you.

After you stomp him a third time, he is defeated, and drops a Magic Ball. Collect it and you will complete the level.

After the Level

Completing the level removes a locked door, but the path is still a dead end for now.

Go down the pipe on the left, and you reach a dark area. Go to the right, then down, to reach your next destination: World 8-1.
