How to Clear Valley of Bowser 4

To the right, there is a Diggin' Chuck on a floating platform. The Diggin' Chuck will keep digging up rocks that bounce on the ground. Go past the rock and jump on the platform in the lava while avoiding the red Koopa Paratroopa that flies overhead, and quickly jump onto the ledge on the right before the platform sinks into the lava.

Watch out for rocks from a Diggin' Chuck on the right. Jump over the Diggin' Chuck (if you stomp on it instead, it turns into a Chargin' Chuck and starts charging around). To the right, if you have been to the Yellow Switch Palace, there will be a Yellow Block that you can hit to get a Super Mushroom.

To the right, jump across the platforms in the lava, which start sinking as soon as you step on them, and get past the red Koopa Paratroopas along the way. At the end, there is a pipe that you can go down where you can get a Cape Feather. If you don't want to go down the pipe, skip this paragraph. If you go down the pipe, you reach an icy cave with Spike Tops on floating platforms and Cheep Cheeps in water pits, and a Cape Feather in a Prize Block. Go up the pipe at the end, then go to the right across the lava platforms again.

To the right of the pipe, hit the Block to make a Beanstalk appear. Climb it, then hit the Prize Block at the top to make a Yoshi Egg appear. You need Yoshi if you want to reach the Secret Exit in this level.

If you're tall, skip this paragraph. If you're Small Mario, go to the right to fall down the hole and push to the right as you fall so you land on solid ground on the right. Jump across the platform in the lava, then go to the right, and skip to After the Column of Blocks on this page.

If you're tall, go to the right and get up against the right wall, and if you have Yoshi, turn to face the left. Do a Spin Jump, and if Yoshi is there, you will get back on him while still destroying the blocks below. Go to the right as soon as you can, and hit the Block in the ceiling to make a 1-Up Mushroom come out. Fall down below.

After the Column of Blocks

If you made a 1-Up Mushroom appear (see previous paragraph), wait for it to go partway to the right before you start jumping across the lava platforms. Jump across the platforms in the lava, bouncing off of the red Koopa Paratroopa if necessary, and try to get the 1-Up Mushroom as it falls, but beware of the rocks from the Diggin' Chuck as you try to land on the ledge on the right.

Next, go to the right and jump on the lava platform then hit the Midway Gate and land on the right side.

Wait for the rock from the Diggin' Chuck to get out of the way, then jump over the Diggin' Chuck.

To the right, if you have been to the Yellow Switch Palace, there is a Yellow Block between the lava platforms that you can stand on to hit the Prize Block above, which contains a Cape Feather.

After the lava, there is another Diggin' Chuck up above. Jump up the hills then go through the passageway on the right. There is a Diggin' Chuck on a floating platform on the right. Wait for its rock to go past, then fall down below to the lava platform, and jump to the ledge on the right.

Go to the right, up a slope, and you find a lava platform with a Diggin' Chuck after it. Dodge his rocks, then jump onto the ledge and jump over him.

Bounce off of the red Koopa Paratroopa and watch for falling rocks as you jump on the lava platforms. You find a Jumping Board, but make sure not to let any falling rocks hit you as you try to jump on it. If you have been to the Blue Switch Palace, there will be Blue Blocks to the right of the Brown Block that the Jumping Board is sitting on, which causes rocks to bounce through the Jumping Board. Use the Jumping Board to reach the floating platform above, and jump over the Diggin' Chuck there to reach the lava platforms on the right side of the lava pit.

If you have Yoshi, have him eat the key that is in the enclosed area on the right. You can have Yoshi walk in front of the keyhole to use the Secret Exit without dismounting. The path to the north will unlock and you can go to the Star Road, where you can go to Star World 5, or you can go east from the Star Road to reach the front door of Bowser's Castle.

Otherwise, go to the right and go through the Giant Gate. The path to the east will open and you can go to #7 Larry's Castle.
