How to Clear Valley Ghost House

Go to the right and hit the Prize Block to get a Fire Flower, but watch out for the Big Bubble that floats from the right. Get the Dragon Coin and regular coins above the gap, then go to the right, dodging Big Bubbles and getting more coins. To the right, go through the door.

Part 2

If you want to go to the Secret Exit, skip to First P Switch Room on this page. If you want all the Dragon Coins, skip to Dragon Coin Path on this page. If you don't care about getting all the Dragon Coins in the level and you just want to go through the normal exit, hit the Block above you, then hit the P Switch and quickly run to the right along the Prize Blocks and Brown Blocks that appeared, but beware of Eeries that float from right to left in this area. You can hit the Prize Block along the way to get many coins, but this may cause the P Switch effect to wear off, which will make you fall through the coins below you and lose a life. Go to the right, and ignore the first two doors and go through the third door. This takes you to the Giant Gate, and the path to the west will unlock and you can go to Valley of Bowser 3.

First P Switch Room

If you want to go to the Secret Exit, hit the Block above you, then when you hit the P Switch, run as quickly as possible to the right while ignoring everything else. Ignore all the doors and run through the coins to the right of every door. If you manage to go all the way to the right, you can take the 1-Up. Then go through the rightmost door if it's accessible. If you didn't make it to the rightmost door, you'll have to go left, ignore the first two doors and go through the third (not the leftmost door on this walkway). Then go left and go through the door there to return to the area with the P Switch on a Block above you, and re-read this paragraph to try again.

Once you make it through the rightmost door, go right and pick up the P Switch (don't use it yet). Jump on top of the Brown Blocks and go to the right, then jump up through the thin floor above you. Put the P Switch down but don't hit it, and go to the right where there is a Prize Block. This part can be a bit difficult. You need to hit the Prize Block, then start alternating between pressing right and up and right and up on the directional pad so that the coins go up in a stair-step pattern. Keep doing this until the P Switch music stops (about 10 seconds on the timer). At this point, if you're tall, let a Boo hit you so you're small. Then hit the P Switch and jump onto the Brown Blocks, and run and jump to reach the top, where you can hopefully go through the narrow gap into the room with the key and keyhole. If not, you'll have to go back down below and go through the door, then go to First P Switch Room on this page and try again. If you did get into the keyhole room, use the key on the keyhole and the level will end, and the path north will unlock and you can go to #7 Larry's Castle.

Dragon Coin Path

If you want to get all the Dragon Coins in the level, hit the Block above you but don't hit the P Switch. Move the P Switch to the left or right side of the platform. After the Block stops spinning, run and jump on it to get the Dragon Coin. Then hit the P Switch, wait a moment and watch for a Super Star to fall from above, and take it. Then run to the left, jump up to the upper path, and get the Dragon Coin above the Prize Block (which just contains a coin). Then run to the left and go through the door.

Go to the left, but DON'T go to the left and get the Dragon Coin, or you won't be able to get all six Dragon Coins in the level. You'll get that one later. For now, you can optionally hit the Prize Block if you want a coin snake (control its direction with the directional pad buttons, then wait for the P Switch to wear off so you can get the coins), then go to the right and go through the door.

Jump and hit the Block and step on the P Switch, but this time, run as quickly as possible to the right, but get the Dragon Coin on the way, then run to the right while ignoring everything else.

Jump on top of the Brown Blocks and go to the right, and collect the three coins but don't jump up through the floor yet. Instead use the P Switch and run across the Brown Blocks to get the Dragon Coin. Then go to the right and jump up through the floor to get the Dragon Coin there. Now you have gotten all six. Go to the right and go through the door. Hit the Block above you, then hit the P Switch and quickly run to the right along the Prize Blocks and Brown Blocks that appeared, but beware of Eeries that float from right to left in this area.
