How to Reach Star World 4

Star World 4 can be reached by finding the secret exit in Forest Fortress, or by finding the secret exit in Star World 3.

How to Clear Star World 4

If you want to reach the secret exit in this level, but you haven't visited both the Green Switch Palace and the Red Switch Palace, you can go to Star World 2 if you have unlocked it, and get a Blue Yoshi there, then use the normal exit in that level so you keep Yoshi with you.

Go to the right and approach the Yoshi Egg. If you don't have a Yoshi with you, it will hatch into a Red Mini-Yoshi. You can pick up and carry Mini-Yoshi, and it will grow up into an adult Yoshi if you make it eat five enemies, coins, or objects, or if you make it eat one power-up. When fully grown, Red Yoshi will spit fireballs if you press X or Y when it has a shell of any color in its mouth. It will gain the usual effects of different color shells.

To the right of where you found the Yoshi Egg, there is a Triple Swing Lift. Jump on the moving platforms to reach the next Mushroom Platform, where there is a red Koopa Troopa, followed by a lower platform where there is another red Koopa Troopa.

After that, there is a Triple Swing Lift, followed by a Mushroom Platform with two blue Koopa Troopas.

Then there is a Mushroom Platform with four levels. The top level has a red Koopa Troopa, and the next two levels have a blue Koopa Troopa each. To the right of that, there are seven red Koopa Paratroopas that go up and down in formation. Wait for the Paratroopas to float as far up as they go, then carefully jump to the next platform.

The Mushroom Platform after the Paratroopas has a Prize Block that contains a Cape Feather. After that, there is a Mushroom Platform with a red Koopa Troopa.

Then there is a Triple Swing Lift with red Koopa Paratroopas floating nearby. This is followed by a Mushroom Platform, followed by a lower Mushroom Platform with a blue Koopa Troopa on it.

Then there is another Triple Swing Lift, an empty Mushroom Platform, a Mushroom Platform with a red Koopa Troopa, and five red Koopa Paratroopas that go up and down in formation.

Next, there are four Mushroom Platforms, and then a Triple Swing Lift.

If you want to go to the Secret Exit and you have already been to the Green Switch Palace and the Red Switch Palace, you can reach the secret exit. If you aren't Caped Mario, you will have to take a shell from the area to the right of the Triple Swing Lift. Then fall down from the right side of the center block of the Triple Swing Lift to land on some Green Blocks, and go right from there on the Red Blocks. Hit the Prize Block to get a key, and use it in the keyhole.

If you want to go to the Secret Exit, but you have NOT already been to the Green Switch Palace and/or the Red Switch Palace, you will need to have a Blue Yoshi. If you have one, go to the right from the Triple Swing Lift and try to get a green shell for Yoshi. Once Blue Yoshi has a green shell, he can fly downward from the Triple Swing Lift, then fly to the right to reach the Prize Block with the key in it. Have Yoshi spit the green shell at the Prize Block, then take the key and use it in the keyhole (Yoshi can eat the key and stand in front of the keyhole to activate it).

Otherwise, if you can't do the above or don't want to go to the Secret Exit, go to the right from the Triple Swing Lift. There is a red shell, then an unshelled Koopa Troopa that will kick a green shell. You can kick the red shell to the right to get rid of both shells.

After the unshelled Koopa Troopa, there is a pipe, two green Koopa Paratroopas, and another pipe. This is followed by a Mushroom Platform, another Platform with a red Koopa Troopa, a Triple Swing Lift with a red Koopa Paratroopa nearby, and a Gray Block platform with a blue Koopa Troopa.

Then there are two Mushroom Platforms, a Single Swing Lift, a Triple Swing Lift, and a Single Swing Lift, followed by the Giant Gate.

After the Level

If you went through the normal exit, you will go back to the Star Road entrance nearby. If you went through the secret exit, a path opens to the southeast, leading to another Star Road exit, where you can enter the Bowser's Castle Front Door. This also gives you access to Star World 5.
