How to Reach Star World 1

To reach Star World 1, find the secret exit in Donut Secret House, or find the secret exit in Star World 5.

How to Clear Star World 1

This level can only be completed if you are tall, so take the Super Mushroom if you're Small Mario.

Fall down the hole. You can either get five coins or a Dragon Coin, but not both.

If you want five coins, you can go five squares to the left of the hole and press A to Spin Jump through the Blocks. You will reach an area with five coins. You can hold the jump button to bounce higher off of the Blocks, which can help with getting all five coins before you fall too far down.

If you want a Dragon Coin instead, go about ten blocks to the right of the hole and press A to Spin Jump and reach a room with a Dragon Coin.

Secret Exit Path

You will land on a floating rock. If you want to go to the Secret Exit, go to the wall on the right and Spin Jump there. You will reach a key and keyhole. Hold X or Y to pick up the key and put it into the keyhole. The level will end, and a path will open to an exit from Star Road, and gives you access to Star World 2. The nearby Star Road exit leads to Vanilla Dome. You won't be able to go anywhere from there unless you have completed Vanilla Secret 1.

Normal Exit Path

If you don't want to go to the Secret Exit, but you want to get a Fire Flower, go down from the floating rock, then go to the middle, where you can see a wall that splits the Block area into two sections. Go four squares to the right of that wall and Spin Jump to get a Fire Flower.

If you want a Dragon Coin and Cape Feather instead, go down from the floating rock, then go five squares away from the left wall and Spin Jump there. You get a Dragon Coin, then if you keep pushing toward the left, you find a small room with a Cape Feather.

After you land, go down the hole in the middle. If you want a Dragon Coin, go five squares away from the left wall and Spin Jump from there. If you want a 1-Up Mushroom, go four squares away from the right wall and Spin Jump from there.

Next, when you fall onto the rock below, fall through the hole to reach another set of Blocks, where you can see Super Stars bouncing in rooms in the Blocks. Spin Jump to enter one of these rooms and get the Super Star. While you're flashing, you're invincible, so you can run through the Koopa Troopas to defeat them.

Below, if you want two Dragon Coins, go at least seven squares away from the left wall and Spin Jump there. If you want seven coins instead, go six squares away from the right wall and Spin Jump there.

After the floating rock below, there is a layer of Blocks, and beneath that, on the left side, there is another Super Star, but you might not want to get it. You can get a Red Mini-Yoshi in the layer below the Super Star, but since you can't stop Spin Jumping, you either have to try to catch it as you fall, or just go to the bottom of the level and try to jump back up to find Mini-Yoshi.

You can pick up and carry Mini-Yoshi, and it will grow up into an adult Yoshi if you make it eat five enemies, coins, or objects, or if you make it eat one power-up.

If there aren't enough enemies left when you get the Mini-Yoshi, but you have a power-up in your Item Stock, you can press Select to make the power-up fall, then make the Mini-Yoshi eat it and he will instantly grow up. Then hop onto Yoshi's saddle if you want to keep him after you finish the level.

Red Yoshi will spit fireballs if you press X or Y when it has a shell of any color in its mouth.

At the bottom of the level, go to the right and into the pipe. Then go through the Giant Gate.

After the Level

If you took the secret exit path, the road northwest will unlock, which leads to an exit from Star Road, and gives you access to Star World 2. The nearby Star Road exit leads to Vanilla Dome, but you won't be able to go anywhere from there unless you have completed Vanilla Secret 1.

If you went through the normal exit, you will just walk back to the Star Road entrance that leads to Donut Secret House.
