How to clear Chocolate Island 3 in Super Mario World for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System and Game Boy Advance.

How to Clear Chocolate Island 3
If you get at least 30 coins before a certain point in this level, you can get a 1-Up. The count is NOT based on how many coins are displayed in the upper-right of the screen, so there is no need to stop collecting coins if it says 99 in the upper-right corner.
There is an optional path in this level where it is easy to collect a lot of coins, but if for some reason you don't want to go there, if you're Fire Mario, you can throw fireballs at the Koopa Troopas to get extra coins, or if you have Yoshi, you can eat the Koopa Troopas to get extra coins.
This level has a Secret Exit that you can go to if you either have Yoshi or you're Caped Mario.
Go to the right and get on the single swing lift and ride it to the next Mushroom Platform. Then get on the next Single Swing Lift, which has a red Koopa Troopa on the Gray Block that it spins around. Jump onto the Mushroom Platform and get the Dragon Coin there.
Next, jump down to the Mushroom Platform on the right. There are three Single Swing Lifts on the right. Each one has a Koopa Troopa on the Block that it spins around. Use the third Lift to reach the Prize Block on the right, but watch out for the red Koopa Troopa on the Mushroom Platform. The Prize Block contains a Cape Feather.
Jump on the Mushroom Platform on the right, then jump on the Single Swing Lifts that have Koopa Troopas in the middle. Get the Dragon Coin and three regular coins, and then there is a pipe above you. If you want all the Dragon Coins in the level, or if you haven't been getting coins by throwing fireballs at the Koopa Troopas or having Yoshi eat them, and if you want to get a 1-Up Mushroom from the Bonus Block later in the level, you need to go up the pipe.
If you don't want to go up the pipe, skip this paragraph. If you go up the pipe, there is a Lift that goes left and right, which leads to a Single Swing Lift that will let you collect a large number of coins. There is a Dragon Coin near the bottom-right of the regular coins here. If you fall off, you won't be able to go back up, so be sure to get as may coins as you can, and the Dragon Coin, before you fall. When you're done, fall off the Lift and go to the bottom-right of the area, where there is a pipe that you can go down. Skip to After the Pipe on this page.
If you don't go up the pipe, there are more Single Swing Lifts to jump across, some of which have coins that you can collect. Eventually you reach the Midway Gate and a Prize Block that contains a Cape Feather.
Then there are two more Single Swing Lifts, a Mushroom Platform with three coins above it. Then there is a Single Swing Lift with no Koopa Troopa, a Single Swing Lift with a Fuzzy spinning around the middle (so be sure to crouch at the bottom if you're tall), two red Koopa Paratroopas that go up and down, and an empty Single Swing Lift.
After the Pipe
To the right, there are Single Swing Lifts with Fuzzies going around the middle, so be sure to crouch at the bottom if you're tall, and hit the Prize Block along the way to get a Cape Feather. Then there is a Dragon Coin and more Single Swing Lifts, a Green Block if you went to the Green Switch Palace, and the final Dragon Coin.
After that, there is a Bonus Block. If you have collected 30 or more coins in this level, it gives you a 1-Up Mushroom. If you have collected fewer than 30 coins in this level, it just gives you one coin.
There is a secret exit in this level. If you want to go to it, skip to Secret Exit on this page. Otherwise, hit the Block after the Bonus Block to make a Beanstalk appear. Climb up it and use the Single Swing Lift to jump through the Giant Gate. Unfortunately, all this does is unlock a path to the south that loops back to this same level, and doesn't unlock a new level in the map. You will need to redo this level and go through the Secret Exit, or find the Secret Exit in Chocolate Island 2, to proceed.
Secret Exit
If you have Yoshi, you can have him eat the blue Koopa Troopa, and Yoshi will be able to fly until he eventually swallows the shell. Fly to the right to reach the Secret Exit. Or if you're Caped Mario, you can reach the Secret Exit from here, but be careful not to run into the blue Koopa Troopa on the right side of the platform. You also need to avoid kicking the shell at the unshelled blue Koopa Troopa, because it will just stop the shell and kick it back at you. Go to the left and run to the right, fly before you hit the Koopa Troopa, and let go of the jump button (but not the run button) or just keep holding the flying buttons to attach the cape to your feet, and keep tapping left on the directional pad at the right moment so you keep flying to the right. The secret exit in the bottom-right of the level and has three Blocks to the left of it. Each contains a 1-Up Mushroom. Then go through the Giant Gate to complete the level. The path to the west will unlock, and you can go to Chocolate Fortress.
