Starting the Quest

Talk to Tesleen in Amh Araeng to begin the quest. There will be a cutscene. This one is important, so it is recommended to watch it either now or via the Unending Journey in an inn room.

Speak with Tesleen

Talk to Tesleen to proceed.

Search the Area for Halric

Go southwest to go outside, then go southeast to where the orange arrow is pointing in the minimap. Check on the sparkling Destination to proceed.

Continue Searching for Halric

Go west to where the orange arrow is pointing in the minimap and check on the sparkling Destination. Defeat the Forgiven Folly that attacks.

Afterward, go north to where the orange arrow is pointing in the minimap. Check on the sparkling Destination to proceed. There will be a cutscene. Some players may find this cutscene disturbing. If you do not want to watch it, here is a summary: You and Alisaie follow a powerful sin eater. You find it face-to-face with Halric, who shows no reaction. Tesleen cuts off one of the sin eater's wings, but the sin eater stabs her. Tesleen undergoes a painful transformation into a sin eater. The other sin eater flies away. Tesleen asks for Alisaie's forgiveness just before her transformation is complete, then follows the other sin eater out of the area. This cutscene is important, so you should either read the description above or watch the cutscene, either now or via the Unending Journey in an inn room.

Speak with the Carers

Go to the quest icons on the map to talk to Cassana and Willfort.

Speak with Halric

Go to the quest icon on the map and talk to Halric to complete the quest.
