After you make it past the Space Pirates in Chozodia, you must battle the Chozo Warrior Engraving.

Defeat the Chozo Warrior Engraving

Move around until the mirror shows a symbol. Quickly shoot the symbol before it can turn back into your reflection. (If you shoot your reflection, you will take damage.) The symbol will move into one of the corner circles.

Next, the picture of the Chozo Warrior will start to move. If the engraving on the wall flashes, it is about to send a bolt of lightning down at you, so keep moving. If the moving engraving hits you, you will take damage, so keep your distance. When the mirror turns into a symbol, shoot it. The symbol will go into another of the corner circles. Repeat this for the third symbol.

Now the engraving will start to move more quickly and randomly. In addition, if the wall engraving flashes multiple times, it will shoot lightning down at the middle of the floor, then the lightning will split and run across the floor, so be sure to jump over it. Shoot the symbol when it appears (but you have a much shorter time to do so), and it will move into another of the corner circles.

After there is a symbol in all four circles, go to the middle of the room and you will look up at the mirror. Then you will receive your fully powered up suit, with Plasma Beam ability, which will pass through multiple enemies, the Gravity Suit, which lets you move freely in water and stops damage from lava, and the Space Jump, which lets you somersault continually in the air by pressing A mid-somersault.

With your new suit, you no longer have to hide from the Space Pirates and can easily go back through Chozodia.
