Requirements

This quest is available if you have completed the quest Keeping the Flame Alive.

Starting the Quest

Talk to Alphinaud in the Waking Sands in Vesper Bay in Western Thanalan to begin the quest.

Speak with Tataru

Go to Ishgard and go to the Last Vigil Aethernet Shard. Go to the quest icon on the map and talk to Tataru to proceed.

Enter Fortemps Manor

Talk to the House Fortemps Guard to enter Fortemps Manor. There will be a cutscene.

Speak with Alphinaud

Talk to Alphinaud to complete the quest. You can choose whichever dialogue option you wish. The outcome will be the same.

Next Main Scenario Quest

After you complete the quest, talk to Alphinaud to accept the next quest: Alphinaud's Way.
