This quest is available if you have completed the quest Not without Incident.

Starting the Quest

Talk to Alphinaud in Kugane to begin the quest. There will be a cutscene. This one is important, so it is recommended to watch it either now or via the Unending Journey in an inn room.

Speak with Hancock

Talk to Hancock to proceed.

Follow Hancock

Go east to where the orange arrow is pointing in the minimap. You can attune to the Kugane Aetheryte now if you wish. Then talk to Hancock to complete the quest.

Next Main Scenario Quest

After you complete the quest, talk to Hancock to accept the next quest: Where the Streets are Paved with Koban.
