You join Alphinaud, Alisaie, and the Crystal Exarch in the Ocular at The Crystarium.

This quest is available if you have completed the following quests and you have reached level 71:

• Emergent Splendor
• Tears on the Sand

Starting the Quest

Talk to the Crystal Exarch in the Ocular at the Crystarium to begin the quest. There will be a cutscene. This one is important, so it is recommended to watch it either now or via the Unending Journey in an inn room.

Speak with the Exarch

Talk to the Exarch to proceed.

Speak with the Exarch at the Crossroads

Check on the Exit to the Crystarium and say Yes to exit the Ocular. Go west down the stairs and use the Aethernet Shard. If you have attuned to all of the Aethernet Shards in the Crystarium, choose Tesselation from the Aethernet list to go to Lakeland. Otherwise, use the Aethernet Shard to go to the Crystarium Aetheryte Plaza and go west to go to Lakeland.

From there, go northwest to where the orange arrow is pointing in the minimap. Talk to the Exarch to proceed.

Speak with the Exarch at the Northern Staging Point

Go north to where the orange arrow is pointing in the minimap. Talk to the Crystal Exarch to proceed. There will be a cutscene. This one is important, so it is recommended to watch it either now or via the Unending Journey in an inn room.

Holminster Switch

Use the Duty Finder or Duty Support to enter Holminster Switch. Please see the Holminster Switch Guide for a walkthrough.

After you complete the duty in Holminster Switch and exit the area, there will be a cutscene. This one is important, so it is recommended to watch it either now or via the Unending Journey in an inn room.

Speak with the Exarch Again

Talk to the Crystal Exarch to complete the quest.

Next Main Scenario Quest

After you complete the quest, talk to the Crystal Exarch to accept the next quest: Warrior of Darkness. There will be a cutscene.
