This page explains how to complete the Shadowbringers Main Scenario Quest "The Illuminated Land".

Requirements

This quest is available if you have completed the quest The Light of Inspiration, and have reached level 80.

Starting the Quest

Talk to Grenoldt in the Tempest to begin the quest. There will be a cutscene. Afterward, you can talk to Grenoldt to acquire Journey's End Gear.

Deliver Grenoldt's Lamp

You can either teleport to the Ondo Cups or you can go north to where the orange arrow is pointing in the minimap. Go to the quest icon and talk to Tolshs Aath to hand over Grenoldt's Lamp. There will be a cutscene.

Speak with the Ondo Guide

Go to the quest icon and talk to the Ondo Guide to proceed.

Speak with the Ondo Guide, Part 2

Go southwest and follow the curving downward slope that goes west from Pulshs Ooan. The path spirals downward. Don't step in the water spout at the bottom unless you want to go back up above. Instead, go southwest, and go down the slope to the left of the stone pillar. Talk to the Ondo Guide to proceed.

Speak with Urianger

Go northwest while staying to the right of the bright, white, flower-like coral that come up from the ground. The path will spiral counterclockwise along the cave wall. At the bottom, go to the quest icon on the map and talk to Urianger to proceed.

Speak with Alphinaud

Go northwest through the tunnel that Urianger was standing in front of. When you see Urianger again, go south down the slope and you will find Y'shtola. Walk across the glowing white bridge, then go southwest to the quest icon. Talk to Alphinaud to proceed.

Speak with Alisaie

Go west across the glowing white bridge that Alphinaud was standing in front of, then go northwest to the quest icon on the map. Talk to Alisaie to proceed.

Speak with Alisaie Again

Go west down the slope and continue west to where the orange arrow is pointing in the minimap. Talk to Alisaie to proceed. There will be a cutscene.

Proceed Towards the End of the Caliban Gap

Go west through the tunnel, and take the east path to go down the slope. When you see Urianger, go west through the tunnel near him, then go west toward the orange circle on the map. Approach the orange circle and there will be a cutscene.

Speak with Y'shtola

Talk to Y'shtola to complete the quest.

Next Main Scenario Quest

After you complete the quest, talk to Alisaie to accept the next quest: The End of a World.
