Tataru has been working on a surprise gift and asks you to retrieve the items necessary to finish the work.

Requirements

This quest is available if you have completed the quest Lost in the Lifestream.

Starting the Quest

Talk to Tataru in Gridania to begin the quest.

Speak with Geva

Use an Aethernet Shard or the main Gridania Aetheryte to go to the Leatherworkers' Guild & Shaded Bower Aethernet Shard, then go west to the bridge leading northeast. Cross the bridge and enter the building to reach the quest icon on the map. Talk to Geva to proceed.

Speak with E-Sumi-Yan

Use an Aethernet Shard or the main Gridania Aetheryte to go to the Conjurers' Guild Aethernet Shard. Go southwest into the tunnel and follow it to reach the quest icon on the map. Talk to E-Sumi-Yan.

Deliver the Items to Tataru

Use an Aethernet Shard to go to the Gridania Aetheryte Plaza, then go south, then west into the Carline Canopy. Talk to Tataru to hand over Tataru's Leatherwork Commission and Tataru's Conjury Commission and complete the quest. There will be a cutscene. This one is important, so it is recommended to watch it either now or via the Unending Journey in an inn room.

Next Main Scenario Quest

After you complete the quest, talk to Y'shtola to accept the next quest: Onward to Sharlayan. There will be a cutscene.
