Krile suggests that you assist in recapturing the escaped marmots in the hope of getting more information from the gleaner.

Requirements

This quest is available if you have completed the quest A Labyrinthine Descent.

Starting the Quest

Talk to Krile in Labyrinthos to begin the quest.

Speak with Erenville

Go east to the quest icon in the minimap and talk to Erenville to proceed.

Search for Grizzled Mice

Go east to the orange circle in the minimap. Go to the north edge of the orange circle to find a purple circle. Enter the circle, and defeat the Hunting Coyote that attacks. After you defeat it, another one will appear. Defeat it, then check on the Grizzled Mouse to proceed.

Search for the Grizzled Mouse

Go east to the next orange circle in the minimap. Go to the southeast edge of the orange circle to find a purple circle. Enter the circle, and defeat the Hunting Coyote that attacks. After you defeat it, a Hunting Troll will appear. Defeat it, then you can either examine or target the Grizzled Mouse and use the Rat Sack on it from the Key Items section of your inventory, or you can target it and use the icon to the right of the quest name in your list of active quests.

Search for the Grizzled Mouse Again

Go northwest to the base of a slope that leads up to the orange circle in the minimap. You will find the Grizzled Mouse near the north edge of the orange circle. Examine or target the Grizzled Mouse and use the Rat Sack on it from the Key Items section of your inventory, or you can target it and use the icon to the right of the quest name in your list of active quests.

Optional: Labyrinthos Aether Current 1

There is an Aether Current east of where you found the Grizzled Mouse. You can use the Aether Compass (found in Main Menu > Duty > Collection) to help you pinpoint its location. Check on the Aether Current to attune to it.

Deliver the Squirming Rat Sack

Go west to where the orange arrow is pointing in the minimap and talk to Erenville to hand over the Squirming Rat Sack. There will be a cutscene.

Speak with Alphinaud

Go east to where the orange arrow is pointing in the minimap. Talk to Alphinaud to complete the quest.

Next Main Scenario Quest

After you complete the quest, talk to Alphinaud to accept the next quest: Deeper into the Maze.
