This page explains how to complete the level 83 Endwalker quest "Gateway of the Gods".

Requirements

This quest is available if you have completed the quest In from the Cold.

Starting the Quest

Talk to Lucia in Garlemald to begin the quest. There will be a cutscene.

Speak with Lyse

Go north to where the orange arrow is pointing in the minimap. Along the way, use your Aether Compass (found in Main Menu > Duty > Collection) to find an Aether Current to the northwest. Check on the Aether Current to attune to it. Then continue going north to where the orange arrow is pointing in the minimap. Talk to Lyse to proceed. There will be a cutscene.

Speak with Pipin

Before you proceed, you may wish to use your Aether Compass (found in Main Menu > Duty > Collection) to find an Aether Current to the west. Check on the Aether Current to attune to it.

If you check Main Menu > Travel > Aether Currents and there is one missing Aether Current, you can go east from here to find it.

Then continue to where the orange arrow is pointing in the minimap. Talk to Pipin to proceed.

Wait at the Destination Inside the Station

Talk to the Lente's Arrow and say Yes to proceed. Then go to the quest icon and check on the sparkling Destination to proceed. There will be a cutscene.

The Tower of Babil

Use the Duty Finder or Duty Support to enter the Tower of Babil. Please see The Tower of Babil Guide for a walkthrough.

After you complete the duty in the Tower of Babil and exit the area, there will be a cutscene.

Speak with Alphinaud

Talk to Alphinaud to complete the quest.

Unlock Flying in Garlemald

"Gateway of the Gods" is the final quest for unlocking Aether Currents in Garlemald. If you have completed the other Aether Current quests and attuned to the Aether Currents in the field in that area (which you can find using the Aether Compass in Main Menu > Duty > Collection in that area) you will be able to fly in Garlemald.

After you complete the quest, talk to G'raha Tia to accept the next quest: A Trip to the Moon.
