Familiar Faces - Quest Guide

You begin your search in the Sea of Clouds while remaining on your guard for attacks by the Vanu.

Requirements

This quest is available if you have completed the quest Into the Blue.

Starting the Quest

Talk to Alphinaud in the Sea of Clouds (via airship from the Athenaeum Astrologicum in Ishgard) to begin the quest.

Stand /lookout

Go to the orange circle in the map, then dismount and stand on the glowing spot, then type /lookout or /lookout motion (the second one will not display a chat message).

Stand /lookout Farther to the North

Go to the orange circle on the map. There will be a glow around a glowing spot on the ground, indicating an instanced battle. Dismount and stand on the glowing spot and type /lookout or /lookout motion (the second one will not display a chat message), and there will be a cutscene, and then the battle will ensue.

Solo Duty: Familiar Faces

Kill the enemies in the following order. When more enemies appear, attack the ones higher up in this list, if any.

  1. Imperial Medicus
  2. Any enemies attacking the Vanu
  3. Any enemies attacking you
  4. Any enemies attacking Alphinaud
  5. Imperial Centurion
  6. 6th Legion Gunship

Speak with Lonu Vanu

Talk to Lonu Vanu to complete the quest.

Next Main Scenario Quest

After you complete the quest, talk to Lonu Vanu to accept the next quest: Devourer of Worlds.
