This page explains how to complete the Shadowbringers Main Scenario Quest "Extinguishing the Last Light".

Requirements

This quest is available if you have completed the quest A Breath of Respite, and have reached level 79.

Starting the Quest

Talk to Chai-Nuzz in Kholusia to begin the quest.

Speak with the Crystal Exarch

Talk to the Crystal Exarch to proceed. Say "ENGAGE!" if you are ready to proceed. There will be a cutscene.

Speak with Y'shtola

Go north to where the orange arrow is pointing in the minimap. Talk to Y'shtola to proceed. There will be a cutscene.

Mt. Gulg

Use the Duty Finder or Duty Support to enter Mt. Gulg. Please see the Mt. Gulg Guide for a walkthrough.

After you complete the duty in Mt. Gulg and exit the area, there will be a cutscene.

The Crown of the Immaculate

Use the Duty Finder to enter The Crown of the Immaculate. Please see The Crown of the Immaculate Guide for a walkthrough.

After you complete the duty in The Crown of the Immaculate and exit the area, there will be a cutscene.

Speak with Ryne

Talk to Ryne to complete the quest. There will be several cutscenes in sequence.

Unlock Flying in Kholusia

"Extinguishing the Last Light" is the final quest for unlocking Aether Currents in Kholusia. If you have completed the other Aether Current quests and attuned to the Aether Currents in the field in that area (which you can find using the Aether Compass in Main Menu > Duty > Collection in that area) you will be able to fly in Kholusia.

Next Main Scenario Quest

After you complete the quest, talk to the Manager of Suites to accept the next quest: Reassuring the Masses.
