Your rest at the Crystarium is cut short by a mysterious commotion outside.

Requirements

This quest is available if you have completed the quest Out of the Wood.

Starting the Quest

Talk to the Manager of Suites in the Crystarium to begin the quest.

Survey the Exedra

Use the Aethernet Shard to go to the Musica Universalis Markets. Go northeast to where the orange arrow is pointing in the minimap. Check on the sparkling Destination to proceed. There will be a cutscene.

Activate the First Anchor

Go northwest to the Aetheryte plaza and go up the stairs to the upper level. Go counterclockwise around the platform and go through the west archway. From there, go north to the bridge, and go northwest along the bridge to where the orange arrow is pointing in the minimap. Check on the sparkling Anchor to proceed.

Activate the Second Anchor

Go east to the other end of the bridge,then go south to the next bridge. Go southwest along this bridge to where the orange arrow is pointing in the minimap. Check on the sparkling Anchor to proceed. There will be a cutscene.

Speak with Alphinaud

There will be a glow around Alphinaud, indicating an instanced battle. Check on him and there will be a cutscene, and then the battle will ensue.

Solo Duty: When it Rains

Follow Alisaie and use multi-target attacks on the sin eaters that you encounter.

When you reach the tower, go around the base of the tower and kill all the surrounding sin eaters, then go back to the south side of the tower to where Y'shtola is fighting. Pull all of the sin eaters close to the large winged sin eater. A blue circle will appear under it, and the other sin eaters will be killed if they are standing in the blue circle.

Afterward, follow the others and kill all the sin eaters that you encounter.

When Thancred and Minfilia separate from the group, follow Alphinaud. There will be a cutscene.

Use multi-target attacks on all of the sin eaters until the Forgiven Hypocrisy appears. Pull it away from your allies. When the three tethered Forgiven Venery appear, kill them quickly. Stack in the stack marker when it appears. When the tethered Forgiven Venery are gone, keep attacking the Forgiven Hypocrisy and ignore the other enemies. You don't need to channel aether to Alisaie. When the Forgiven Hypocrisy dies, the duty will be complete and there will be a cutscene.

Speak with Alisaie

Talk to Alisaie to complete the quest.
