This quest is available if you have completed the quest The Ladder.

Starting the Quest

Talk to Urianger in Kholusia to begin the quest.

Wait for the Work to be Completed

Go to the quest icon on the map and check on the sparkling Destination. There will be a cutscene.

Speak with Alphinaud

Talk to Alphinaud to proceed.

Speak with Alisaie

Go southeast to the stairs and go up them until you can go to the left, where there is a small tower. Go to the south of that small tower to find Alphinaud and Alisaie. Talk to Alisaie to proceed.

Search the Area for the Mysterious Person

Check on the sparkling Destination. Move the view downward from the village and zoom in, and move the crosshairs over the person near the rocks. Follow the on-screen instructions to Execute Confirm. There will be a cutscene.

Investigate the Village

Go west to the walkway, then go north to the stairs, and go east to the stairs going down. Go down the stairs, and at the bottom, go north through the archway. From there, go east to where the orange arrow is pointing in the minimap.

In the west part of the orange circle on the map, check on the sparkling Dried Victuals.

In the northeast part of the orange circle on the map, check the sparkling Door.

Enter the building in the southern part of the orange circle and check on the sparkling Half-empty Cup.

Speak with Alphinaud

Go outside and talk to Alphinaud to complete the quest. There will be a cutscene.

Next Main Scenario Quest

After you complete the quest, talk to Alisaie to accept the next quest: In Mt. Gulg's Shadow.
