Wuk Lamat has a request to make before setting off to confront Zoraal Ja.

Requirements

This quest is available if you have completed the quest At a Crossroads.

Starting the Quest

Talk to Wuk Lamat in Heritage Found to begin the quest. There will be several cutscenes.

Speak with Wuk Lamat

Talk to Wuk Lamat.

Speak with Wuk Lamat Again

There will be a glow around Wuk Lamat, indicating a solo duty. Check on her and there will be a cutscene, and then the duty will ensue.

Solo Duty: The Protector and the Destroyer

Progress through the area, defeating all enemies and checking on the citizens.

Otis

Defeat all the enemies, then Otis Oathbroken will join the fray.

Formation Alpha places Aerostats on the field. Each enemy, including Otis will have a circle attack marker centered on themselves, and each character will be targeted with Searing Slash, which places a circle attack marker on each character that follows them. Move to a safe area between attack markers, and don't overlap any other characters with your circle. Afterward, defeat all the enemies. Otis will cast Stormlit Shockwave during this time. It damages all characters.

Formation Beta places directional turrets in the area, and also targets a character with a stack marker. Stack together with the marked player while making sure not to be in front of a turret that is facing you. Destroy all the turrets afterward. During this time, Wuk Lamat will be targeted with Steadfast Will, a high-damage attack.

Formation Gamma creates untargetable sentries on motorcycles. They will do line attacks across the field, one after the other, while there will also be a circle attack marker centered on Otis. Stay out of the circle, and stand on one of the last line markers to appear, and when a neighboring attack goes off, move into the safe area left behind. Destroy the Sentries afterward.

Valorous Ascension is a high damage attack on all characters.

The next time Otis casts Searing Slash, he will have a circle attack marker centered on himself, and at the same time he will cast alternating cone attacks. Stand on one of the second cone markers to appear, then move into the safe area after the first cones go off.

Gwyddrud

Crackling Howl damages all characters.

Violet Voltage will place two or more attack markers on the area, one after the other. Make sure to remember which order the attack markers appeared. Stand in a location that won't get hit by the first attack, then move into safe areas as the attacks go off in sequence.

Gnaw is a high-damage attack on Wuk Lamat.

Rolling Thunder places cone attack markers on the area, one after the other. Stand on one of the last attack markers to appear, then when the neighboring attack goes off, move into the safe area it leaves behind.

When the boss's health is about 75%, several Balls of Levin will appear. Destroy them as quickly as possible. Continue trying to destroy them.

Eventually you will get knocked back and stunned. Wait for the stun to wear off, then attack Gwyddrud while dodging circle attacks, stacking with marked characters, or spreading apart from other characters if marked with following circles.

Talk to Wuk Lamat to complete the quest.

Next Main Scenario Quest

After you complete the quest, you will need to be at least level 99 to proceed to the next quest. After you reach level 99, talk to Wuk Lamat to accept the next quest: A Comforting Hand.
