After your infiltration into Ala Mhigo, you meet with Raubahn, who has a favor to ask.

Requirements

This quest is available if you have completed the quest The Legacy of Our Fathers, and have reached level 70.

Starting the Quest

Talk to Raubahn in The Lochs to begin the quest.

Deliver Raubahn's Package

Go east to where the orange arrow is pointing in the minimap. Talk to Pipin to hand over Raubahn's Package. There will be a cutscene.

Follow Alphinaud

Go east up the stairs, then go north to where the orange arrow is pointing in the minimap. There will be a glow around Alphinaud, indicating an instanced battle. Check on him and there will be a cutscene, and then the battle will ensue.

Solo Duty: The Measure of His Reach

Focus on the Spear-Wolves and Bow-Wolf that are attacking you directly, then defeat the other Bow-Wolf first, followed by the Spear-Wolves.

There will be a cutscene.

Howling Icewind places a grid of line attack markers on the ground. Stand in a safe spot between the lines to avoid the attack.

Whitefang creates floating heads that each have a circle attack marker centered on them. They will then float across the battlefield. Don't be in the path of these floating heads.

Howling Moonlight is a proximity attack. Move away from the attack marker to reduce damage.

Howling Bloomshower places many arc-shaped attack markers on the battlefield. Stand in a safe place between them.

After a while, Hakuro will use many of these attacks at the same time, so be careful to find safe places to avoid each attack.

When the Obsidian Carbuncle creates a circle around itself, stand in the circle whenever possible. You will need to move out of the circle to avoid Hakuro's attacks, but move back into the circle as soon as it is safe to do so.

Speak with Hakuro

Afterward, speak with Hakuro. There will be a cutscene. This one is important, so it is recommended to watch it either now or via the Unending Journey in an inn room.

Report to Pipin

Talk to Pipin to complete the quest.
