This page explains how to complete the level 82 Endwalker quest "The Last Bastion".

Requirements

This quest is available if you have completed the quest A Way Forward.

Starting the Quest

Talk to Jullus in Garlemald to begin the quest.

Go with Jullus

Go northeast to the orange circle on the map. Dismount and enter the purple circle, then defeat the two Tempered Imperials that attack.

Speak with Jullus

Talk to Jullus to proceed.

Go with Jullus 2

Go east to the orange circle on the map. Dismount and enter the purple circle, then defeat the two Tempered Imperials that attack.

Speak with Jullus 2

Talk to Jullus to proceed.

Catch Up with Jullus

Go east to the orange circle on the map. Talk to Jullus to proceed.

Go with Jullus 3

Go northeast to the orange circle on the map. (The Aetheryte on the map is not accessible at this time.) Dismount and enter the purple circle, then defeat the two Tempered Imperials that attack.

Speak with Jullus 3

Talk to Jullus to proceed.

Speak with Jullus 4

Go north to where the orange arrow is pointing in the minimap. Talk to Jullus to proceed.

Speak with Jullus 5

Go north to the quest icon. Talk to Jullus to proceed.

Speak with Alphinaud

Go into the tunnel that Jullus is standing in front of and go south to where the orange arrow is pointing in the minimap. Talk to Alphinaud to proceed. There will be a cutscene.

Speak with Jullus 6

You can't attune to the Aetheryte at this time, so just enter the train car east of the Aetheryte. Talk to Jullus to complete the quest. There will be a cutscene.

Next Main Scenario Quest

After you complete the quest, talk to Jullus to accept the next quest: Personae non Gratae.
