You have met with Magnus in the town of Twine and must now discuss your options.

Requirements

This quest is available if you have completed the quest Rust and Ruin.

Starting the Quest

Talk to Minfilia in Twine to begin the quest.

Seek Out a Talkative Resident

Attune to the Aetheryte if you have not yet done so, then go west to the orange circle on the map. Go to the northwest part of the circle and talk to Jeryk to proceed.

Open the Toolbox Next to Jeryk

Go northeast to the trolley tracks and go east along the tracks to the orange circle on the map. Stand near Jeryk and you can either use the Too-large Toolbox from the Key Items section of your inventory, or you can use the icon to the right of the quest name in your list of active quests. There will be a cutscene. Choose the midsized wrench.

Afterward, go east along the track and stand near Jeryk. Use the toolbox as described above, and there will be another cutscene. Choose the rough file.

Go east on the tracks until you can go north. Look for some wooden beams to walk across to the east side of the tracks, then check on the sparkling Vulture Nest. Defeat the Desert Vulture that attacks.

Go north along the tracks and check on the sparkling Vulture Nest. Defeat the Desert Vulture that attacks.

Go north and then northeast on the tracks. Check on the sparkling Vulture Nest. Defeat the Desert Vulture that attacks.

Speak with Jeryk

Go southwest on the tracks until you can go south, then go east along the tracks and talk to Jeryk to proceed.

Speak with Jeryk Again

Go west along the track to return to Twine. Go to the quest icon and talk to Jeryk to complete the quest.

Aether Current Quest

With the completion of this quest, you can now start the blue quest "Scavengers Assemble" in Amh Araeng. Completing that quest will attune you to an Aether Current in this area.

Next Main Scenario Quest

After you complete the quest, talk to Jeryk to accept the next quest: Down for Maintenance.
