After you salvage the fallen cargo from the overturned wagon, Luquelot in the stable needs help finding a missing egg.

Requirements

This quest is only available if you started the game in Gridania, you have completed the quest Salvaging the Scene, and have reached level 14.

Starting the Quest

Go into the stable at Bentbranch Meadows in the Central Shroud to find Luquelot, and talk to him to start the quest.

Question the People of Bentbranch

There are three destinations marked on the map and minimap. Go to each location and talk to each person with the quest icon over their head.

Speak with Luquelot

After you have talked to the three people, go back and talk to Luquelot. There will be a cutscene.

Subdue the Thief

Go south from Bentbranch Meadows, then at the fork in the road, go west. At the cliff wall, you will find Kuplu Kopo. There will be a glow around the moogle, indicating another instanced battle. Check on Kuplu and there will be a cutscene, and then the battle will ensue.

Solo Duty: Leia's Legacy

You will be faced with three Hedge Knights, and Janremi Blackheart. One of the Hedge Knights is a Healer (holding a cane instead of a bow), so you should defeat the healer first so he won't keep healing your other enemies. After that, defeat the two other Hedge Knights, then Janremi Blackheart. He can inflict Slow on you, which temporarily makes your abilites take longer to recharge.

Retrieve Leia's Egg

After the battle, talk to Kuplu Kopo and there will be a cutscene.

Return Leia's Egg

Go east, then north at the fork in the road, to return to Bentbranch Meadows, and go to Luquelot in the stable to return Leia's egg. There will be a cutscene.

Speak with Luquelot Again

After the cutscene, speak with Luquelot to complete the quest.

Next Main Scenario Quest

After completing the quest, talk to Luquelot to accept the next quest: Dread Is in the Air.
