This page explains how to complete the level 86 Endwalker quest "In Search of Hermes".

Requirements

This quest is available if you have completed the quest Petalouda Hunt.

Starting the Quest

Talk to Hythlodaeus in Elpis to begin the quest.

Speak with the Anagnorisis Observer

Go north to where the orange arrow is pointing in the minimap. Talk to the Anagnorisis Observer to proceed. There will be a cutscene.

Search for Hermes

Go north to the orange circle on the map. Go to the northeast part of the orange circle and talk to Hermes to proceed. There will be a cutscene.

Attune to the Aetheryte

Before you proceed, you may wish to go northwest and attune to the Anagnorisis Aetheryte.

Search for the Adventurous Ambystoma

Go east to the orange circle on the map. Go to the northeast part of the orange circle and check on the Adventurous Ambystoma to complete the quest. There will be a cutscene.

Next Main Scenario Quest

After you complete the quest, talk to Hermes to accept the next quest: Ponder, Warrant, Cherish, Welcome.
