Requirements

This quest is available if you have completed the quest The Aftermath.

Starting the Quest

Talk to Urianger in the Rak'tika Greatwood to begin the quest. There will be a cutscene. This one is important, so it is recommended to watch it either now or via the Unending Journey in an inn room. (Main Scenario 1 > Shadowbringers Main Scenario Quests > In Good Faith > Cutscene 1.)

Speak with Emet-Selch

Talk to Emet-Selch to proceed.

Use the Aetherial Lamp

You can use the Aetherial Lamp from the Key Items section of your inventory, or you can use the icon to the right of the quest name in your list of active quests.

Go to the northeast part of the orange circle on the map and stand on the path of blue flowers. Use the Aetherial Lamp in this area until you get a message that "the lamplight is near blinding". The specific location to use the lamp is ( 33.1 , 20.6 ).

Call for Emet-Selch

Check on the sparkling Place of Resonance. There will be a cutscene. This one is important, so it is recommended to watch it either now or via the Unending Journey in an inn room. (Main Scenario 1 > Shadowbringers Main Scenario Quests > In Good Faith > Cutscene 2.)

Speak with Emet-Selch

Talk to Emet-Selch to proceed.

Speak with Y'shtola

You can either teleport to Fanow or go west to the wooden platform, and go northwest up the stairs. Continue northwest to the Aetheryte plaza and go east down the stairs to the quest icon on the map. Talk to Y'shtola to complete the quest.

Aether Current Quest

With the completion of this quest, you can now start the blue quest "Stand on Ceremony" in the Rak'tika Greatwood. Completing that quest will attune you to an Aether Current in this area.

Next Main Scenario Quest

After you complete the quest, talk to Almet to accept the next quest: The Burden of Knowledge. There will be a cutscene.
