This quest is available if you have completed the quest Before the Dawn.

Starting the Quest

Talk to Alphinaud in the Intercessory in Camp Dragonhead in the Coerthas Central Highlands to begin the quest. There will be a cutscene. This one is important, so it is recommended to watch it either now or via the Unending Journey in an inn room.

Speak with Haurchefant

Talk to Haurchefant to proceed.

Speak with the Temple Knight

Go outside, and go west to where the orange arrow is pointing in the minimap. Speak to the Temple Knight Gateguard and say Yes to proceed to Ishgard. There will be a cutscene. This one is important, so it is recommended to watch it either now or via the Unending Journey in an inn room.

Speak with the House Fortemps Manservant

Go to the quest icon on the map and talk to the House Fortemps Manservant to proceed.

Speak with Haurchefant Again

It is recommended to take this time to attune to the Ishgard aetheryte. Feel free to attune to the Aethernet Shards throughout Ishgard as well. Afterward, go to the Last Vigil Aethernet Shard in The Pillars area of Ishgard. Go to the quest icon on the map and talk to Haurchefant to complete the quest. There will be a cutscene. This one is important, so it is recommended to watch it either now or via the Unending Journey in an inn room.

Next Main Scenario Quest

After you complete the quest, talk to Alphinaud to accept the next quest: Taking in the Sights. There will be a cutscene.
