Requirements

This quest is available if you have completed the quest The Beast That Mourned at the Heart of the Mountain.

Starting the Quest

Talk to Alphinaud in Outer La Noscea to begin the quest.

Speak with Bloeidin

Go west to the quest icon on the map and talk to Commander Bloeidin. There will be a cutscene. This one is important, so it is recommended to watch it either now or via the Unending Journey in an inn room.

Speak with Alphinaud

Go west to the quest icon on the map and talk to Alphinaud.

Search for Alisaie

Go to the wooden platform at the southeast edge of the orange circle on the map and talk to Alisaie. There will be a cutscene.

Return to the Waking Sands

Go to Western Thanalan and go to where the orange arrow is pointing in the minimap. Enter the Waking Sands and there will be a cutscene. This one is important, so it is recommended to watch it either now or via the Unending Journey in an inn room.

Speak with Alphinaud Again

Talk to Alphinaud to proceed.

Speak with Alisaie

Go to Southern Thanalan via the Little Ala Mhigo Aetheryte. Go to the quest icon on the map and talk to Alisaie to complete the quest.

Next Main Scenario Quest

After you complete the quest, talk to Alphinaud to accept the next quest: When We Were Free.
