How to Unlock Wario's Castle

To unlock Wario's Castle, you need to collect the six golden coins by defeating the bosses of all six zones:

How to Clear Wario's Castle

Go to the right and hit the ? Block to get a Fire Flower. After that, there is a Furizo swinging back and forth. Duck or jump over it to get past it. There is another Furizo after that, which you have to either jump over, or wait for it to be on the left and run to to the right.

Next, there are two small Piranha Plant statues that spit flames. Dodge the flames and jump past the statues. There is another Furizo after that.

Next, there is a pit of lava, so make sure not to fall in. Then there is a large Piranha Plant statue that spits large flames, followed by five small Piranha Plant statues with lava in the floor between them, but the second and fourth ones don't spit flames.

Next, there is a lava pit and a Furizo, another lava pit, and a small Furiko that swings above a large Piranha Plant statue. Go through the pipe on the right.

Go up the stairs and dodge the flame from the small Piranha Plant on the left, then go up the next set of stairs and hit the ? Block to get a Super Mushroom or Fire Flower. Then go through the pipe on the left.

There is a lava pit, with a Propeller Lift that goes left and right above the lava. Jump onto the Propeller Lift and use it to get across the lava, but be sure to crouch if you're tall. Get on the next Propeller Lift, but be sure to jump onto the wall on the left before it pushes you off.

Then there is a Propeller Lift that you have to crouch on if you're tall to get past the wall, followed by a Propeller Lift that goes underneath a platform that you have to jump on to get to the other side, and another wall to crouch under, and you have to jump off on the left before the next wall pushes you off. Go to the left and go through the pipe at the end.

Don't go to the left yet. There are some switches in the floor that activate Mechanical Fists from the ceiling that rapidly move up and down and are difficult to get past. To avoid activating them, jump over the floor brick that is beneath the first window, then jump over the floor brick that is beneath the second window, then jump over the floor brick that is beneath the left half of the third window. If you activate a Mechanical Fist, do your best to get past it, because you can't go back through the pipe on the right.

After the Mechanical Fists, there are Skull Platforms over the lava. These platforms crumble soon after you step on them, so quickly make your way to the left to get past all the lava pits. After that, go through the pipe on the left.

Go up the stairs (the Piranha Plant statue does not spit flames), then go up the next set of stairs and hit the ? Block to get a Super Mushroom or Fire Flower. Then go through the pipe on the right.

There are Bone Lifts above the lava. Some of them will fall into the lava when you step on them, and some will rise up and try to push you into the spikes in the ceiling. Be sure to jump from platform to platform quickly to avoid the lava and spikes. Then go through the pipe on the right.

This room has Karamenbos that fall down from the ceiling and try to crush you. Wait for them to start moving back upward before you try to go past. Then go through the pipe on the right.

This room has a Floating Face that bounces around the room. Before you can continue, you have to stomp it until it is defeated. Then you can go through the pipe on the right.

This room has two Floating Faces. Defeat them like you did the first one, then go through the pipe on the right. This room also has two Floating Faces that you have to defeat before you can go through the pipe on the right.

There is a ? Block here that contains a Super Mushroom or Fire Flower. Go through the pipe on the right and you will face the final boss of the game.

Wario

Wario rapidly runs left and right, and sometimes he jumps up and lands on the ground. A Crystal Ball will move left and right in the ceiling and will fall down whenever Wario jumps and lands. Make sure you're not under it when Wario lands after a jump. If you're on the ground when he lands, you won't be able to move for a moment. Stomp on Wario's head to damage him.

After you hit Wario enough times, he runs to the next room. As you go to the right, you see a Carrot. Be sure to take it, then go to the right. Wario also gains the power of a Carrot. He will jump up and float left and right, and when he gets closer to the ground, he will stomp the ground and make the Crystal Ball fall like before. As before, stomp on Wario's head. You can jump on top of the Mario statue to help you reach Wario.

After you hit Wario enough times, he runs to the next room again. As you go to the right, you see a Super Mushroom, but don't take it! The next part of the battle is more difficult if you do. Go to the right and Wario gains the power of a Fire Flower. He will shoot large fireballs, and he will jump up and down. Avoid the area on the right side of the screen where the ceiling is lower. It is more difficult to avoid the fireballs there, and you could get trapped without a way to get past Wario when he jumps. As before, stomp on Wario's head.

After you hit Wario enough times, he turns back into regular Wario. Congratulations! You won! Enjoy the ending!
