What Are Strange Biometric Signs?

Strange biometric signs are unusual readings coming from an ocean creature. The scanner will flash orange when you are near a creature giving off strange biometric signs. Finding these creatures will spawn a UML.

How To Find Strange Biometric Signs

If the center dot of the scanner is flashing orange, it means you are near a creature that is giving off strange biometric signs. Swim around the area until the scanner makes a rapid double flash. This means that the creature is very close. When this happens, stop and scan all of the creatures around you. If you scanned a creature giving off strange biometric signs, there will be an orange dot above the list of scanned creatures. Scroll through the creatures list to find the one that has an orange dot next to the name.

Check the Map for Orange Circles

If there is an active mission, there will be orange circles on the map, indicating areas where you can find strange biometric signals. Go to those orange circles and look for the orange flashing dot as explained above.

If you haven't mapped the entire area yet, there may be areas with orange circles that you can't see yet. You can try mapping more of the area, because when 80% of the area has been mapped, the map will automatically complete, showing you orange circles in previously unmapped areas.
