Add Map Squares to the Map

Whenever you visit an unexplored area of the map, you add map squares to the map, revealing the terrain of the area. The more you contribute to the map, the more points you get in the "Increased Explored Area" category of the Exploration score.

Uncover as Much of the Map as Possible

If you have revealed at least 50% of the map, you get a bonus to your exploration score. If you reveal 80% of the map, the rest of the map will be revealed automatically, and you will get a bonus for exploring 100% of the area.

Collect Fragments of Light When the UML is Present

The best way to improve your exploration score is to collect orbs of light whenever the UML is present. (See How to Spawn a UML for more details.) There will be light orbs throughout the map until the UML disappears. Collect as many of these as you can to improve your exploration score.
