After you Surf north from Sunyshore City, you reach the entrance to Victory Road.
Victory Road - 1F
In Victory Road, you can catch Golbat, Graveler, Machoke, Medicham, Onix, and Steelix.
Go north up the wooden bridge, then use Rock Climb to go down the rock ladder to the right. Go east and there is a hidden Ultra Ball on the rightmost rock.
To the west, you can battle Psychic Bryce, who has a level 43 Haunter, a level 46 Alakazam, and a level 46 Gengar. You get 1656 Pokédollars for winning.
To the north, there is a TM41 Torment.
Go east and climb the rock ladder. Then go east across the wooden bridge. Go south down the stairs, and go around to the north, where you can battle Bird Keeper Hana, who has a level 46 Noctowl and a level 48 Staraptor. You get 1920 Pokédollars for winning.
Go north up the wooden bridge to find a Full Heal.
Go south until you can't go farther south, then go east to the stairs. Go north up the stairs, then go north across the wooden bridge. Use Rock Climb on the rock ladder to the east. Go west until you reach some stairs. Go north up the stairs, and you can battle Ace Trainer Mariah, who has a level 46 Golduck and a level 48 Blissey. You get 3072 Pokédollars for winning.
Go north to find a hidden Max Elixir on a rock.
Go south and then west up the stairs.
Victory Road - 2F
In this area, you can encounter Golbat, Graveler, Kadabra, Medicham, Onix, and Steelix.
Go to the left and use Rock Smash on the rock to the left. Then check on the silvery boulder to use Strength, and push it to the left. Go west past where it was, then leave the next boulder where it is (if you move it by accident, you can go downstairs and back up again to reset its position), then go to the left of the small rock ramp and check on the north wall to find a hidden Full Restore.
Now stand to the right of the rock ramp. Get on your bicycle and press B to switch to high-speed mode, then ride west over the ramp to jump over the two boulders there. Go around the path, use Rock Smash to break the rock to the left of the rock ramp, then press B to switch your bicycle to normal speed, and go over the small rock ramp. You should land to the right of the ramp, so you can go north to get the Max Ether there.
Go back to the northernmost rock ramp, press B to switch your bicycle back to high-speed mode, and go over the ramp at high speed to get past the boulder on the right.
Go east, then south down the one-way ledge, then go south and use Rock Smash on the leftmost boulder. Go south and push the rightmost boulder down, push the upper-left boulder to the left, and push the bottom-left boulder south, then go west. If you go northwest, you can battle Ace Trainer Omar, who has a level 45 Rapidash, a level 45 Carnivine, and a level 48 Rampardos. You get 3072 Pokédollars for winning.
Go south and push the leftmost silver boulder south, then go around and use Rock Smash on the brown boulder to the south. Push the silvery boulder north. Then go east and use Rock Smash on the brown boulder there. To the east, you will battle Ace Trainer Sydney, who has a level 46 Clefable and a level 48 Torterra. You get 3072 Pokédollars for winning.
Go north and east of the Ace Trainer. There are several silvery boulders to the east. Push the northernmost boulder to the east, then go north and you will battle Veteran Clayton, who has a level 47 Staraptor and a level 47 Hippowdon, You get 3948 Pokédollars for winning.
Go north and go down the stairs, but if you want some optional items and a trainer battle that rewards a lot of money, go back up the stairs, then go south from the Veteran and push the northernmost boulder south. (If not, skip to the next section.) If you did go back up the stairs and push the boulder, then go east, and you will find some boulders to the north. To get past them, push the southernmost boulder to the east until you can go north, then push the northernmost boulder to the left, use Rock Smash on the brown boulder, then stand where the brown boulder was and push south on the boulder there.
Then you can go north, get on your bicycle and press B to switch it to high speed, and ride west over the westernmost ramp to reach the Full Restore there.
Go south down the one-way ramp, then go east until you can't go farther east. Go north and you will have a double battle with Double Team Kay and Al (it is a double battle even if you speak to them from the south). They have a level 47 Staraptor and a level 47 Whiscash. You get 22936 Pokédollars for winning.
Go west and stand to the right of the middle rock ramp, get on your bicycle and press B to make sure it is in high-speed mode, then ride west to land in the area with the item to the north. The item is a TM71 Stone Edge.
Ride your bicycle over the leftmost ramp, then make your way southwest, going south down the one-way ramp, until you can go west to where there are the three silvery boulders. Go north from those boulders, past Veteran Clayton, and down the stairs.
Victory Road - 1F, part 2
Go east across the wooden bridge, then use Rock Climb to go down the rock ladder. Go west, then north, then east. You will battle Black Belt Miles, who has a level 49 Machamp. You get 1372 Pokédollars for winning.
Go east and down the stairs.
Victory Road - B1F
In this area, you can encounter Floatzel, Golbat, Machoke, Medicham, and Steelix. When Surfing in this area, you can encounter Golbat. If you use the Old Rod or Good Rod, you can catch Magikarp.
Go east down the short flight of stairs, then go north to where there is water. Surf northeast and you will battle Psychic Valencia, who has a level 44 Chingling and a level 48 Chimecho. You get 1728 Pokédollars for winning.
Surf in the water to the north. If you want to skip some optional battles and items (including a Max Revive), go to Ace Trainer Henry below. Otherwise, go east and then south to reach the southeast water, then Surf southwest and check on the rock to find a hidden Pearl.
Go south up the stairs and you can battle Double Team Pat and Jo (it will be a double battle no matter which of the two you talk to). They have a level 47 Gyarados and a level 47 Medicham. You get 22936 Pokédollars for winning.
Go south and Surf in the water, then go west and up the stairs to find a Rare Candy. There is also a hidden Max Revive on the northernmost rock.
Go down the stairs, then Surf east, then go north down the two short flights of stairs.
Ace Trainer Henry
To the northeast, you can battle Ace Trainer Henry, who has a level 49 Honchkrow. You get 3136 Pokédollars for winning.
Go west and Surf in the water, and go north and use Waterfall to go up the waterfall. Go north, then west, then south down the waterfall there. To the south, you can get a TM59 Dragon Pulse.
Surf north and go north up the waterfall. To the west, you will battle Dragon Tamer Andre, who has a level 49 Gabite. You get 1960 Pokédollars for winning.
Surf west, then south. Before you go up the stairs, go east and check on the rock to find a hidden Big Mushroom. Then go west and up the stairs.
Victory Road - 1F, part 3
Go west past the Veteran, then when you can't go farther west, go south to find a Razor Claw.
Go north, then east. Go south up the short flight of stairs behind the Veteran, and make your way east, then south, to get a Zinc.
The person nearby won't get out of the way for you yet, so just go north, then west, then north up the short flight of stairs. You need to go south past the Veteran, so battle Veteran Edgar, who has a level 45 Tentacruel, a level 45 Golem, and a level 48 Empoleon. You get 4032 Pokédollars for winning.
Go south down the path near the Veteran, then go west, and use Rock Climb to go up the rock ladder, Go west and then north, and up the stairs. Use Strength to push the northernmost boulder to the left, the southernmost boulder to the left, and the middle boulder up or down. Then go west to get a TM79 Dark Pulse.
Go east down the stairs, then go south to the wooden bridge, then go east, and use Rock Climb to go back down the rock ladder. Go east to find another rock ladder. Use Rock Climb to climb up it, then go north and you will battle Dragon Tamer Clinton, who has two level 46 Gibles and a level 49 Gyarados. You get 1840 Pokédollars for winning.
Go north and exit the cave. Go north and Surf in the water, then use Waterfall to go up. Go north into the building to enter the Pokémon League.
Inside the building, go to the counter on the left to heal up, then go to the door in the middle of the north wall and approach the Ace Trainer in front of the door. Your friend will arrive and battle you, with a level 49 Staraptor, a level 49 Rapidash, a level 52 Snorlax, a level 49 Floatzel, a level 51 Heracross, and, if you chose Turtwig, a level 55 Infernape, if you choose Chimchar, a level 55 Empoleon, or if you chose Piplup, a level 55 Torterra. You get 5720 Pokédollars for winning.
Battle your Friend
When you are ready to battle the Elite Four and Champion, you can talk to the Ace Trainer guarding the door, but be aware that after you step through the door, you will not be able to change which pokémon you have with you, and won't have access to a Pokémon Center or Poké Mart, so you will need to use potions and things to heal up your pokémon between battles. If you have assembled your team of six pokémon that you will bring with you, and you have purchased all of the healing items and battle items that you think you will need, talk to the Ace Trainer guarding the door and go through the door to challenge the Elite Four and Champion.
