East of Solaceon Town, you will find the mysterious Solaceon Ruins, where you encounter a strange type of pokémon.

Catch Pokémon

In the ruins, you can encounter Unown. This pokémon can appear in many different forms, which will each be recorded in your Pokédex, so be sure to encounter a lot of them.

Solaceon Ruins 1F

From the entrance of the ruins, go north and you can read the wall. You will see pokémon that spell out messages. Make a note of these messages. They tell you which stairways you should use.

Don't worry if you have trouble reading the message. If you use the wrong stairway, you will just reach a room with a rock in the middle. In some of these dead-end rooms, the rock in the middle has a hidden item on it, so be sure to check it. The side rooms contain many forms of Unown, which can't be found in the main hallways.

Solaceon Ruins B1F - F Hallway

From the message on the wall, if you go down the top left stairs, check on the rock to find a hidden Repel, then go back up the stairs.

From the message on the wall, if you go down the top right stairs, talk to the kid to the south. The kid will go back home to the house close to the ruins in Solaceon Town, where you can get Ball Capsules for showing different forms of Unown.

In this hallway, you can only catch the F form of Unown.

Solaceon Ruins B2F - R Hallway

From the hallway where you talked to the kid, if you go down the lower left stairs, you can battle Ruin Maniac Karl, who has a level 16 Geodude, a level 17 Geodude, and a level 18 Bronzor. You get 1152 Pokédollars for winning.

In this hallway, you can only catch the R form of Unown.

From the hallway with the Ruin Maniac, if you go down the lower left stairs, check on the rock to find a hidden Escape Rope, then go back up the stairs.

Go down the top right stairs to proceed.

Solaceon Ruins B3F - I Hallway

There are three sets of stairs here.

In this hallway, you can only catch the I form of Unown.

Go down the top left stairs to proceed.

Solaceon Ruins B4F - E Hallway

This floor has four sets of stairs.

In this hallway, you can only catch the E form of Unown.

If you go down the lower right stairway, you find a rock that has a hidden Big Mushroom on it.

Go up the top left stairs to proceed.

N Hallway

You reach a room with four sets of stairs.

In this hallway, you can only catch the N form of Unown.

Go down the lower left stairs to proceed.

Basement Room - D Form

After you use the correct stairways, you reach a basement room. You can read the message on the wall. Go south to get a Nugget, a Rare Candy, an Odd Incense, and a Mind Plate.

In this room, you can only catch the D form of Unown.

Other Unown Forms

In the Solaceon Ruins, you can catch the F, R, I, E, N, D forms in the big rooms, and all other letter forms in the small side rooms. If you want the ! and ? forms of Unown, you need to add all the letter forms to your pokédex, then go to the Ruin Maniac Cave in Route 214. There will be a new door in the west side of the cave that leads to a chamber where you can catch the ? and ! forms of Unown.
