After you obtain the fifth Gym Badge, you can proceed east from Hammerlocke to Route 7.

Battle Hop

Go east in the route and you will battle Hop. He has a level 34 Trevenant, a level 35 Snorlax, a level 35 Boltund, a level 37 starter pokémon (if you chose Scorbunny, he has Rillaboom; If you chose Grookey, he has Inteleon. If you chose Sobble, he has Cinderace), and a level 34 Heatmor. You get 4440 Pokédollars for winning.

Afterward, there will be a cutscene. Your pokémon will be healed up.

Explore the Route

Northeast of where you battled Hop, look between the two trees to find a sparkle. Check on it to get a Balm Mushroom.

The pokémon that you may see in this area are Galvantula, Inkay, Liepard, Morpeko, Perrserker, and Thievul. The pokémon that can be found in rustling patches of grass are Corviknight, Karrablast (Shield only), Liepard, Meowstic, Seismitoad, Shelmet (Sword only), and Toxel.

South of the trees, you can battle Model Mila, who has a level 35 Ribombee and a level 36 Vespiquen. You get 4320 Pokédollars for winning.

South of the model, there is a sparkle. Check on it to get an Ether.

Team Yell are blocking the path to the east, so go north, where you will battle Cabbie Bruce, who has a level 35 Corvisquire and a level 36 Rufflet. You get 4320 Pokédollars for winning.

To the north, if you keep shaking the berry tree, you can have a wild pokémon encounter with Greedent.

Go east from the tree to find 3 Quick Balls. They work best if thrown at the very beginning of the battle.

Go north through the archway to reach Route 8.
