You can start the quest by talking to Bugut in Kakariko Village.

How to Complete the Quest

You can complete the quest by finding the logbooks of the Zonai Survey Team, near each of the Ring Ruins. Each logbook contains Tauro's translation of that Ring Ruin's slab.

The Nestled Ring Ruin is in the hills southwest of Makasura Shrine. There are some Bokoblins camped out in the center, so defeat them, then read the logbook, which is located at 1633, -1178, 0218. (This also progresses the quest Codgers' Quarrel.)

The Southern Ring Ruin is east of Makasura Shrine, and you can find the logbook at 1939, -1080, 0166.

The Large Ring Ruin is northwest of the Chief's house. The logbook for it is located at 1737, -0901, 0199.

The Eastern Ring Ruin is just east of the large chasm. The logbook for it is located at 1901, -0812, 0199.

After you have read all four logbooks, talk to Bugut, and tell him what you read.
