The Cooking Festival is a chance for you to show off your cooking skills and win rare prizes.
Cooking Festival Overview
You can purchase recipes at the Garden Grill in Westown, Carosello in Lulukoko, and Tea-Ful Reunion in Tsuyukusa. Get your ingredients ready before the festival, and you will cook at the festival venue. Your meals are judged on quality, and at higher ranks you have to cook the cuisine of a specific village.
Villager Friendship
By participating in the cooking festival, your friendship with everyone in the village will increase, even if you do not win. Be sure to always participate in the cooking festival, even if you might not win. Friendship increases by 1500 if you win, and 500 if you do not win.
Cooking Festival Schedule
The cooking festival is twice a year, on Summer 22 and Winter 22.
How to Enter
To enter the festival, go to the crossroads and talk to the MC between 10:00 and 13:00 to enter.
Contest Ranks
There are four contest ranks that you can enter. More ranks open up if you win. The ranks are rookie, veteran, expert, and legend.
Judgement Criteria
At beginner level, your meal is judged on overall quality, and you can either enter a single dish or a three-course meal. At higher contest ranks, your meal needs to match the selected theme, which you can check on your calendar. You can get a bonus based on your cooking level, and the difficulty level of the meal or meals that you submit. See the cooking page for more information on raising your meal quality.
Point Bonuses
You will get a bonus of between 5 and 70 points depending on your cooking level. You will get a bonus of between 5 and 70 points depending on the difficulty of the meal or meals. You will lose 50 points at higher ranks if you submit a meal that does not match the contest theme.
Rank Details
- Rookie: Your submission is judged on quality. Your competitors will get between 30 and 60 points
- Veteran: Your submission is judged on quality and on whether it matches the theme. Your competitors will get between 61 and 120 points
- Expert: Your submission is judged on quality and on whether it matches the theme. Your competitors will get between 121 and 210 points
- Legend: Your submission is judged on quality and on whether it matches the theme. Your competitors will get between 211 and 285 points.
