Cogita tells you of three pokémon that have recently been spotted in different parts of Hisui.
The Request
You will receive this quest after you complete Seeking the Remaining Plates and enter Galaxy Hall.
Pokémon Locations
- Tornadus can be found in Bonechill Wastes in the Alabaster Icelands if the current weather in the Alabaster Icelands is blizzards.
- Thundurus can be found around the two horns that stick out of the water northeast of Coastlands Camp in the Cobalt Coastlands if the current weather in the Cobalt Coastlands is a thunderstorm/rainstorm.
- Landorus can be found on Ramanas Island in the Obsidian Fieldlands.
How to Catch Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus
These pokémon move rapidly, and have powerful attacks for you to dodge, such as a loud roar that hits you if you are near it, and multiple tornadoes that appear near you. The pokémon has a shield around itself, which you can break by throwing items at it. The pokémon will move far away from you, so you may need to use Feather Balls, Wing Balls, or Jet Balls to hit it. You may also need to try stunning the pokémon by throwing Balls of Mud, Spoiled Apricorns, etc. You can try to use Braviary to dive close to the pokémon. If you are lucky, the pokémon will not notice you after you have landed, allowing you to throw items at it until it is stunned. If you are on the water, you can press Y twice while riding on Basculegion to do a double jump, and if you hold ZR to aim an item (a Wing Ball is recommended), time will go more slowly while you aim. You may need to make the pokémon see you so that it will stop zig-zagging, giving you a better chance to hit it. When possible, throw a partner pokémon to battle the pokémon. Then try reducing its HP and inflicting status conditions, then throw Ultra Balls (or whatever types of Poké Balls you have available) until you catch it.
Complete their Pokédex Entries
Check the Pokédex entries of Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus to see what research tasks there are. Complete some of these tasks and report to Professor Laventon to level up the research level of their Pokédex entries. Do this until each of their Pokédex entries reaches research level 10.
Report to Cogita
Go to the Ancient Retreat and talk to Cogita after you catch Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus and level up their Pokédex research level to 10.
Catch Enamorous
Go to the Scarlet Bog in the Crimson Mirelands to find Enamorous. Her behavior is similar to Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus, so catch her using the same techniques as you did with those three.
Reward
Talk to Cogita at the Ancient Retreat after you catch Enamorous to complete this request. You get 4 Exp. Candy L and a Reveal Glass. The Reveal Glass can be used on Tornadus, Thundurus, Landorus, and Enamorous to change their forms.
