The balloon man challenges you to a balloon race in the Alabaster Icelands.

Talk to the balloon man at Icepeak Camp in Alabaster Icelands to accept this request.

Balloon Race

This is a difficult race where you will need to switch between the pokémon that you ride around on, at the right times. You start on Wyrdeer. Press B to dash as often as you can. The balloons lead you up to a ledge. Press Y to jump and hit the balloon there, then dash toward the cliff wall where you can see a balloon, and press A to switch to Sneasler to climb up and hit the two balloons there. At the top, just run as Sneasler through the balloons. In the water, be sure to press Y twice to do a double jump at the right time to hit the second balloon. When you jump off of the waterfall, press A after you hit the balloon to switch to Braviary. If timed correctly, you will be at the correct height to hit the next balloons. When the next balloon is far below you, hold Y to dive through them. After you land, switch to Wyrdeer so you can jump through the final balloon at the end of the ice platform, then press A to switch to Braviary. You may need to tap the Y button to dive through some of the next balloons. The remaining balloons are on a slope that Braviary can land on.
