In Link's Awakening DX for Nintendo Game Boy, you can have your photograph taken at different locations by doing different actions. The photos are saved in the Camera Shop east of Goponga Swamp in a photo album entitled "The Travels of Link". A Game Boy Printer could print these photos directly from the Game Boy. The Nintendo Switch version of the game does not have the photos feature, but you can find Dampé's Shack in the location where the Camera Shop was in the Game Boy version.

List of Photos and How to Unlock Them

#1 - Here Stands a Brave Man/Game Over

Requirements: Roc's Feather

Go to the Camera Shop east of Goponga Swamp. Talk to the photographer and he asks you to stand in front of the curtain. Say "Yes" if you want a photo of you smiling and giving the peace sign in front of the curtain ("Here Stands a Brave Man") or say "No" repeatedly if you want a photo of you beaten up and lying in front of the curtain. (You can only get one of these two photos, so be sure to respond according to the photo that you want.)

#2 - Ocean View

When Marin is following you, go to the southwest corner of Toronbo Shores and walk to the end of the cliff.

#3 - Heads Up!

When Marin is following you, fall into the well that is north of the Mabe Village library.

#4 - Camera Hog

When Marin is following you, walk up to the weathervane that is north of Marin and Tarin's house.

#5 - Link Discovers Ulrira's Secret!

Walk up to the window of Ulrira's house (southwest of Marin and Tarin's house in Mabe Village).

#6 - Link Plays With BowWow!

After you have returned BowWow to Madam MeowMeow, walk up to BowWow.

#7 - Thief!

If you steal something from the Mabe Village shop, you will be permanently renamed THIEF. If you steal something after you have talked to the Camera Shop owner, a photo of your theft will automatically appear in the photo book. If you already stole something, you won't be able to get this photo because the shop owner will kill you if you try to go back in.

#8 - Can't Swim?

Requirements: Magnifying Glass

Go back and talk to the fisherman who gave you the necklace.

#9 - I Found Zora

Requirements: Magnifying Glass

Go into the house in the northeast part of Animal Village. You will automatically go to the water in the corner.

#10 - A Regal Home

Requirements: Fewer than Five Gold Leaves

After Richard asks you to get his Five Gold Leaves, but before actually collecting all five, go up to the closed gate of Kanalet Castle.

#11 - I Was Very Afraid

After you help the ghost go back to its grave, go up to the grave and touch it.

#12 - Close Call

In Tal Tal Mountains, go east from the Hen House and cross the bridge. You can't get this photo while the Flying Rooster is following you, so be sure to go back to this bridge after you complete Eagle's Tower to get the photo.
