After defeating the Stone Lions of the Light Temple in LostSide Marsh, you can go to St. Elle's Seabed.
Open a New Path
When you leave the shrine of St. Elle's Seabed, you find yourself in an area of water. This area is called The Seabed Sanctuary. Go north to find a mermaid statue. Talk to the statue. She tells you to go back to the shrine and go from there to the island of Southerta. There, you will find the Bubble Clothing, which will allow you to survive underwater.
Go back to the shrine. A new blue warp tile will be unlocked. Step on it to go to Southerta.
Southerta
Go east from the warp tile. A Bubble Fish will jump out of the water and spit a bubble at you. The Bubble Fish is not affiliated with a monster lair. Avoid its bubbles and avoid touching the fish. You can kill it with your sword.
Go north from there, then west. You'll find a lair of Palm Trees. The trees move around randomly and then spit a coconut in a random direction. Kill the Palm Trees and open the lair to release a dolphin.
Go north. A Bubble Fish will jump out of the water to the left. You will also encounter some Gorillas wandering around. Gorillas will stop and throw a boulder at you if you get in their way. The Gorillas are tied to a monster lair, so kill them as you continue north. The path turns east, then south, with a Bubble Fish popping out of the water to the east. Go south from there to find the Gorilla lair. Kill all of the gorillas and clear the lair to create a path to the south. A Bubble Fish will end up on the dry land where the path appears.
Don't follow the new path yet. Instead, go northwest, past an island with a bunch of Palm Tree monsters. Go around the island to find a Gorilla lair south of the Palm Tree island. Kill the Gorillas and clear the lair to open a path to the Palm Tree island. Kill all of the Palm Trees and clear the lair to release a mermaid.
Go back to the place where you opened a path earlier, where a Bubble Fish is flopping around on land. Don't go south on that path, but instead go east. A Tropical Hawk will come out of a lair to the east. It flies around diagonally and creates a tornado that flies toward you. Kill the Tropical Hawk, then go east. You can't reach the hawk's lair yet, so kill the Palm Trees to the east and clear their lair to make a treasure chest appear. Go south to open the chest. It contains a Medical Herb.
Then go west past the cleared Tropical Hawk lair, and go south when you can. There is something that looks like a black rock here, but it's actually a Clam. It attacks you when you go close to it. Kill it with your sword and clear its lair. Two new lairs appear, both of which release Gorillas. Just stand on the cleared Clam lair and attack the Gorillas as they walk past. When you clear the northern Gorilla lair, you release a mermaid. When you clear the southern Gorilla lair, you release another mermaid.
Keep going south and you will encounter another Clam. Kill it and continue going east. There is another Clam in the southeast corner. Kill it, then go northwest. Kill the Clam on the way, then go north and kill the final Clam. Clear the lair to create a shortcut out of this area.
Go west from the Clam lair to clear the Tropical Hawk lair. This clears some palm trees from the northern path.
Go north past the palm trees that disappeared. Go east when you can, avoiding the coconuts that the Palm Trees spit out. As you go east, a Bubble Fish will jump up and spit a bubble at you. Kill it and go north. Follow the path until you reach the Palm Tree lair. Kill the Palm Trees and clear the lair to remove many of the palm trees in the area.
Go east and look for the Clams near the small pond. There are also some Clams a little bit farther away from the pond, to the southwest and the northwest. Kill the Clams, then clear the lair to drain the pond with the Bubble Fish in it. Kill the Bubble Fish if necessary, then kill the Gorillas that come out of the new lair. Clear the lair to release a mermaid. This also restores a large palace. The mermaid asks if you need the Bubble Armor.
If you check the map, you will see that there is one more monster lair here. You can't actually reach it right now. Go back to the Warp Tile that you arrived on when you first came to Southerta. It's in the southwest part of this area.
Get the Bubble Armor
Back in The Seabed Sanctuary, you can talk to the people you rescued. If you go around the east side of the new palace, you will find a door. Go in and open the chest to get the Mermaid's Tears. Then go into the palace and talk to the mermaid. She will give you the Bubble Armor. Equip it now.
When you are ready, go south from the mermaid in the palace who gave you the Bubble Armor. You will be in the Seabed of St. Elle's.
Seabed
Go south and you will encounter a large purple Sea Urchin. It is not affiliated with a monster lair. East of there, you find a Sea Horse lair. If you approach the Sea Horses sideways with your sword drawn, they will quickly swim backward from you. Kill all of the Sea Horses and open the lair. This removes some of the boulders to the north.
Go west and go up the stairs. Continue north to go up some more stairs. You will be back on Southerta, where you can access the lair that you couldn't reach before. Go north and kill all of the Gorillas and clear the lair to release a mermaid statue.
Go south to go back into the underwater Seabed.
Go east and kill the purple Sea Urchin again. Then continue east. You will find a Jelly Fish lair. If you get in the path of a Jelly Fish, it will quickly swim toward you. Kill all of the Jelly Fish and open the lair to make stairs appear to the south.
If you wish, you can go south down those stairs, but all you will find are a Sea Urchin and a golden barrier. You can also go east from the Jelly Fish lair that you cleared to make the stairs appear, but you will only find a cave entrance that is blocked by another golden barrier. For now, return to The Seabed Sanctuary.
You can talk to the mermaid in the palace to be healed up.
Go north from the palace to the area outside of the warp tile. There is a new Mermaid Statue here. Talk to the Mermaid Statue. She will remove the golden barrier south of some stairs. This opens the path that leads to an island called Rockbird.
Go south from the mermaid palace to enter the underwater Seabed again. Go east and then south down the stairs. Kill the Sea Urchin and continue south. Kill the second Sea Urchin and keep going south. You can now go down the stairs that the Mermaid Statue opened up for you.
Go slightly east from those stairs, then go north up a narrow path to some more stairs. Go to the southeast corner of this area and kill the Jelly Fish and open their lair to release a mermaid.
Go north from there to find a Sea Horse lair. Kill the Sea Horses and open the lair to reveal a new lair to the east. Kill the Jelly Fish that come out of the new lair. Go north past the plants, then go east and south to reach the Jelly Fish lair. Open the lair to create a shortcut to the west. Then go south, then east until you reach some stairs. Go up to reach the island of Rockbird.
Shore Reef of Rockbird
Go east from the entrance of the island. While going east, you will see some ponds to the north. Go past the second pond, then go to the northeast corner of that pond. You will find a Palm Tree lair. There is also a Tropical Hawk lair to the east. Kill the Palm Trees and clear the lair to empty the pond to the west.
Go east and clear the Tropical Hawk lair that is in the southeast corner of the island. This opens the two southeast ponds, each of which contains a treasure chest. Open the eastern chest to get 60 GEMs. Open the chest to the left to find a Medical Herb.
Go west from there to the big empty pond (if it's not empty, kill the Palm Trees to the northeast of this big pond and clear that lair to empty it) and go into the empty pond by the stairs. On the west side of this empty pond, there is a Gorilla lair. Kill the Gorillas and open the lair to empty the pond to the west.
Before going into the empty pond, kill the Palm Trees coming from the lair just northeast of the southwest pond. Open the lair to empty the pond to the northwest.
Go into the empty pond in the southwest corner of Rockbird. There are two Clams in this empty pond. Kill them and open the lair to release a mermaid.
Now go into the empty pond north of this pond. Kill the Gorillas coming from the lair in this pond and open the lair to release a mermaid.
Go to the north middle of the island to find a lair with Clams around it. Kill the Clams and open the lair to empty the northwest pond. Go around the west side of the empty pond to find the stairs into it. When you go close to the monster lair, a Tropical Hawk flies out. Kill it to clear the lair. Go to the east side of this empty pond and go up the stairs to reach the lair. Open it to reveal a blue crystal. Talk to the Crystal Fairy. She will give you EXP. She can send you back to the Seabed Palace. Don't go back yet.
Exit this pond, then go east from here. Go to the northeast corner of the island and kill the Gorillas coming from this lair. Open the lair to empty the pond to the west.
Go into the empty pond and go to the southeast corner of the pond. Kill the Gorillas that come out of this lair and open the lair to empty the pond to the south.
Exit this pond and go south to the pond that you just emptied. It has three Clams inside. Kill the Clams, then open the lair to empty the pond to the west.
Leave this pond and go into the pond to the west that you just opened. There are four Clams inside. Kill them and open the lair to reveal four new lairs. Two of them are Palm Tree lairs and two of them are Gorilla lairs. You can only reach the Gorilla lairs, so kill them first. When you clear the Gorilla lairs, it opens the path to the Palm Tree lairs. Kill the Palm Trees. When you clear the northeast Palm Tree lair, you release a Mermaid's Statue. When you clear the southwest Palm Tree lair, you release an angelfish that says that it has the power to stop the Magma Rain.
You have cleared all of the lairs in Rockbird, so go to the northwest pond and talk to the Crystal Fairy to return to the Seabed Palace.
Get the Soul of Shield
Go to the southeast part of the Seabed Sanctuary to find the Angelfish that you released. Talk to it to learn that it is from the sky just like you. It can protect you from the Magma Rain. It will join you as the Soul of Shield.
Now go to the area near the warp tile. There is a new Mermaid Statue here. Talk to her and she will remove the barrier that leads to the volcanic island of Durean.
Go to Durean
Go back to the underwater area south of the Seabed Palace. Go east to the stairs. Go south down those stairs, past the two Sea Urchins, and go south down the stairs there. From here, go west.
You will eventually find a set of stairs going north. Go up those stairs, then go west to find a Jelly Fish lair. Kill the Jelly Fish and open the lair to clear a path to the west. Go up the stairs to the north, then go south down the path that you just cleared. From there, go west.
You will reach an area of broken columns and you will find some Crabs. They hide for a moment under their shells, then they run in a random direction for a short time. If you are using the Psycho Sword, you will paralyze the Crabs if you hit them when they are hiding in their shells. You might find it easiest to equip the Sword of Life to kill the crabs. After you kill all of the Crabs, go north from the columns to find the lair. Open it to create a shortcut to the east.
If you switched to the Sword of Life to attack the Crabs, be sure to re-equip the Psycho Sword now.
Now go south, then west. This is the area that the Mermaid Statue removed the barrier from. There are glowing areas here to show that you are near the volcanic island. Go north and up the stairs, then proceed south along the glowing floor. There is a Sea Horse lair here. Kill the Sea Horses and open the lair to release a dolphin.
Go west from the Sea Horse lair, then north and up some stairs, then east. There is a Jelly Fish lair here. You might also encounter Sting Rays that come from the lair to the north. Sting Rays will stop for a moment and shoot electric energy toward you, then they will swim toward you again. Kill the Jelly Fish coming out of the lair near you, killing any Sting Rays that come close. After you clear the Jelly Fish lair, open it to create a shortcut to the east.
Now go north and then west, then down the stairs to reach the Sting Ray lair. Kill the Sting Rays and open their lair to release a blue crystal. Talk to the Crystal Fairy to receive EXP. She can send you back to the Seabed Palace if you wish. Otherwise, go west from the blue crystal, then go north up the stairs to reach Durean.
Durean
In Durean, volcanic rocks will fall down from the sky. If you have the Soul of Shield, the rocks will be destroyed before they can hit you. You don't have to worry about avoiding the rocks. Just walk normally. Be careful not to walk into a column of flame if a rock hits the ground hear you.
If you don't have the Soul of Shield, go back to the Seabed Sanctuary and talk to the Angelfish in the southeast corner of the area. You can find out if you have the Soul of Shield by pressing the A button twice.
Make sure that you have the Mermaid's Tears with you. You can get the Mermaid's Tears by going to the east side of the Seabed Palace and going to the door in the east wall. There is a chest there that contains the Mermaid's Tears.
Go west from the entrance of Durean to find a Gorilla lair. Kill the Gorillas and open the lair to release the dolphin, Lue.
Go west and then north to find a Gorilla lair. Higher up on a ledge to the east, there is a Metal Gorilla. Be careful to avoid any boulders that the Metal Gorilla throws at you. Kill the normal Gorillas at ground level and open the lair to create some land to the west.
Go west to the area that you just opened. Two Tropical Hawks come out of that lair. Kill them and open the lair to release a mermaid.
Now go north and you will encounter several Clams. Follow the path and kill the Clams on the way. When you clear their lair, you release a mermaid.
Continue going east. There is an island in the northeast corner of the area where you can see a Gorilla lair, but there is no way to reach the island. South of that island, there is a Tropical Hawk lair. Kill the Tropical Hawks and open the lair to reveal two lairs, one to the north and one to the south. Both lairs release Gorillas. You can stand to the left of the Tropical Hawk lair that you unlocked, and wait for the Gorillas to walk close enough to hit them.
Open the northern Gorilla lair to create a path to the northeast island. Kill the Gorillas coming out of the island lair and open it to release a mermaid.
Go south and step on the other Gorilla lair that you cleared. It opens a path to the southeast island and makes the Bubble Fish get stuck on land. Go south to the island and open the chest to get a Strange Bottle, which prevents you from losing your GEMs if you die (but only if you equip it).
Go north off of the island, then go southwest. There is a Tropical Hawk lair. Kill the hawks and open the lair to remove some rocks, giving you a shortcut to the exit of the island. Some stairs will appear that will allow you to go up the volcano.
Go up the new stairs. You can't go north because there is hot lava blocking your path. The Ice Armor doesn't protect you from this lava. So go west from the stairs. You will find a Metal Gorilla lair. You can't kill these with your current equipment, but you can stun them if you hit them with your Psycho Sword.
Go north past the Metal Gorilla lair. Eventually you reach an area with some lava, as well as a lair with Clams around it. Kill the clams and clear the lair to release a dolphin.
Go east. You find a Gorilla lair in the middle of some lava. You can kill the Gorillas now if you wish, but you won't be able to open the lair without getting hurt.
There is a path to the north of the lava, so go east past the lava. You find a lair with no monsters coming out of it. Go south to find two Clams. Walk close to the Clam that is sitting on the lava in order to make it come close enough to you to hit it. When you kill both Clams, step on the lair to reveal some stairs.
Go up the stairs and go south. You will pass by a Tropical Hawk lair higher up on the volcano. Kill the Tropical Hawks now even though you can't reach the lair yet.
Go south and follow the path until you reach a Gorilla lair. Kill the Gorillas and open the lair to create two sets of stairs. The southern stairs give you a shortcut to the exit.
Go up the northern stairs, then go west and follow the path around. You reach the Tropical Hawk lair that you passed earlier. Clear that lair. Some stairs appear, just south of the volcano's peak. Go back the way that you came and then go up the stairs that you just revealed. Equip the Mermaid's Tears and walk straight up the stairs to the rock in the middle of the lava. You will automatically use the Mermaid's Tears. This will cool down all of the lava, making it safe to walk on. The volcano will stop erupting as well. If you don't have the Mermaid's Tears, return to the Seabed Sanctuary and go to the east side of the palace, where there is a door in the outside wall to a room with a mermaid looking at a treasure chest. Open the chest to get the Mermaid's Tears.
After you use the Mermaid's Tears, go down the two sets of stairs to the south. Then go west and north to find a Gorilla lair that you couldn't reach before. Kill the Gorillas and open the lair to release a mermaid's statue.
Go east, then north up the stairs. Go west and open the Gorilla lair that you couldn't safely reach because of the lava. You will release a mermaid.
Go east and south to find a treasure chest that contains the Critical Sword. It requires you to be at least at level 11, so don't equip it if you are lower than that level. The Critical Sword might sometimes instantly kill enemies. However, the Critical Sword can't defeat metal enemies. You have found everything on Durean, so you should go back underwater and talk to the Blue Crystal Fairy to return to the Seabed Palace.
Unlock a New Path
Talk to the upper-right mermaid statue near the warp tile that takes you to the shrine. The statue will unlock a path in the northeast part of the underwater area, which will let you reach the island of Blester.
Now go to the area south of the three mermaid dancers. There is a mermaid here who is blocking a cross-shaped warp tile. Talk to her and say that you have not seen the queen. She will show you what the queen looks like. She then asks you to rescue Lue, the dolphin. Step on the warp tile to enter the jail. Talk to Lue, who is swimming back and forth. He will give you the Thunder Ring. You can equip this ring and then walk up to towers on the island of Blester to make lightning come down.
Use the west exit to leave the jail. Then go to the southwest area to find a dolphin. Walk in front of the dolphin and talk to him. He will push you to the north, where you can reach a treasure chest. Open it to get the Big Pearl. Walk in front of the dolphin again to go back to where you were.
Go east from the dolphin to find a door in the west wall of the palace. Talk to the mermaid there to receive the Magic Flair. It's a magic spell. She says that it is useful against a certain type of monster. She is talking about Tropical Hawks. You can press the magic spell button and hold it to make the spell become more powerful, then release the button to cause damage.
Go to Blester
Now go underwater. Go east from the palace door until you reach a cave entrance. Go inside. There are Crabs going around this area. Find all of the Crabs and get rid of them to unlock the lair. Clear the lair to release an angelfish.
Go west from this area to find a Sting Ray lair. Kill the Sting Rays and open the lair to release a mermaid.
Now go east and then north. There is a small opening in the north wall that leads to an underwater river. Walk onto the flowing river to be pushed west. Go south as soon as you can. You'll reach another riverbank. There is a Jelly Fish lair here. Kill the Jelly Fish and open the lair to release an angelfish.
Walk north and step on the flowing water again, then go south as soon as you can in order to reach the next riverbank. There is a Sea Horse lair here. Kill the Sea Horses and open the lair to reveal a blue crystal. Talk to the Blue Crystal Fairy to receive EXP. She can send you back to the Seabed Palace if you wish.
Walk north into the river to be pushed to the west side. Go north from there, then east along the narrow path. You will find Crabs along the path. Kill them and open the lair to remove the stone that is blocking the stairs to the north. Go up the stairs.
Blester
Go east until you find a Gorilla lair. Kill the Gorillas and open the lair to release a mermaid.
To the east, there is a thunder pyramid. Equip the thunder ring and walk up to one of the small orange pyramids to make lightning come down. You can use the lightning to kill the Gorillas from the lair to the north and the east. When you clear the north Gorilla lair, you reveal a path to the north. When you clear the east Gorilla lair, you release an angelfish.
Go north from the thunder pyramid, then go west. There are many stone columns in this area, and there are Clams hiding around here. Kill all of the Clams. Their lair is to the northwest. Open that lair to remove the stone columns. Go to the middle of where the columns were to find a Tropical Hawk lair. Use the Magic Flair spell to hit these enemies more easily. Open the Tropical Hawk lair to release a dolphin.
Go east from here to reach another area with many stone columns. Kill the Clams in this area but avoid the Tropical Hawk lair to the northeast. The Clam lair is to the south. Open it to make the stone columns disappear, then go to the Tropical Hawk lair to the north east and kill the hawks. Clear the lair to release a mermaid.
Now go west until you can go north. Go to the northwest corner of the island to make the Metal Gorillas come toward you. Make them follow you to the thunder pyramids, then equip the Thunder Ring and walk up to the thunder pyramids to make lightning come down. The lightning can kill the Metal Gorillas. Clear the Metal Gorilla lair to release a mermaid statue.
Now go to the northeast corner of Blester and clear the Tropical Hawk lair to release a blue crystal. Talk to the Blue Crystal Fairy to return to the Seabed Sanctuary.
Open Another New Path
Talk to the upper-left mermaid statue near the warp tile to the shrine. She opens an underwater path that leads to the Ghost Ship.
Go underwater, then go to the northwest corner of the area. Go into the cave entrance there.
Sting Rays will swim south toward your area. Go as far left as you can in order to hit the Sting Rays before they change direction and shoot lightning at you. After you kill all of the Sting Rays, go north to their lair and open it. This removes a barrier south of the lair.
Go east until you find a narrow opening in the stone wall. Go to the southeast corner of this area to find a chest. It contains the Power Bracelet. Equip this item to double your attack power.
Now go through the new path that you opened when you cleared the Sting Ray lair earlier. Go as far southwest as you can until you reach a Crab lair and a purple Urchin. Kill all of the Crabs and open the lair to release an angelfish.
Now go back the way that you came, then go north to where there are two purple Urchins and another Sting Ray lair. Kill the Sting Rays and open the lair to release a dolphin.
Go east and then north, then go west until you reach a purple Urchin. Kill it and go north. There is an opening in the stone wall to the north, so go through that.
Go to the southwest corner of this area. There are some Urchins here, and a Jelly Fish lair. Kill the Jelly Fish and clear the lair to create a warp tile. This will return you to the shrine and give you a shortcut back to this place. Go to the shrine to heal up and save the game.
You can also go into Lue's prison and use the Dream Rod on the sleeping dolphin in the bottom left of the area. Equip the Big Pearl (see earlier on this page for how to get it) and talk to the dolphin in the dream. The dolphin swims away from the unlocked lair that it is sitting on. Step on that lair to clear a path. Then equip the Bubble Armor and go underwater. Go northwest and go into the cave there. Go to the west wall, where you opened a path in the dream. Go into the cave there. Go north and clear the Crab lair to reveal four chests. The upper-right one contains 80 GEMs. The lower-right one is empty. The lower-left one contains a medical herb. The upper-left one contains the Master's Emblem D.
Go back to the shrine and step on the tile to go underwater. Go north from the underwater warp tile to find a rope. Walk up the rope to reach the Ghost Ship.
Ghost Ship
You will hear the boss music as soon as you reach the Ghost Ship. Up ahead, two torches will light up. They are not associated with a monster lair, but they can shoot fireballs at you. Hit the flames several times to blow them out. The torches will light up again after a while.
Go north and then use the stairs on the left side, just above the first pair of torches. Walk north so that you are touching the platform with the ladder on it. Slowly go east until a Deck Worm pops out. If you are too close, the sharp pieces of wood will hit you and hurt you. The Deck Worm is not associated with a monster lair. Kill it and then go east and north past the torch. Go slowly north after the torch because another Deck Worm will pop out up north. Kill it and go west toward the next torch. Another Deck Worm will pop out near the next torch, so go slowly. Kill the Deck Worm and then go south. Another Deck Worm will pop out. Kill it and go south to the treasure chest, which contains 1 GEM.
Go north and use the stairs to the north. A Deck Worm will pop out after you continue north down some stairs. Kill it and go north past the torch, then go east and then south down the stairs to the broken mast. Go south down the ladder below the broken mast, then go east and up the stairs. Go north past the torch, then up the stairs. Continue north, going past four torches. Go all the way to the north end of the ship and you will have to fight Skull Master.
Skull Master
Skull Master's hands will crawl slowly toward you. You can kill them if you hit them multiple times with your sword. Sometimes Skull Master will go downward, then spit out three phoenix-shaped fireballs that spread out. After spitting the fireballs, the Skull Master will go sideways toward you and then go back up to the top of the ship. Stand to the left of the purple tile so that the Skull Master doesn't hit you after it spits fireballs. You can stand here and hit Skull Master whenever it moves sideways toward you, or you can run up to the Skull Master while it moves downward so you can hit it before it spits fireballs, then run to the side to avoid it when it goes sideways. Use a magic spell such as Light Arrow to kill the skeleton hands that come toward you. Skull Master is immune to spells, but the hands are not.
Get the Blue Stone
After you kill Skull Master, go southeast to the monster lair. Open it to release the Queen. Go south to exit the ship, then go south from the rope to reach the warp tile. Step on it, save your game in the Shrine, then go back to the Seabed Sanctuary. Go north into the palace to visit the Queen. Talk to her to receive the Blue Stone.
Before you go to the next area, you can go northwest to visit Servas the dolphin and use the Dream Rod on him to visit his dream. In the dream, go north until you hear the father and son talking. Then go north and then east and south to reach the father and son. Talk to them to learn their story.
Back in the Seabed Santuary, you can go into the northeast house to get a free Medical Herb if you need one.
Go to the Next Region
Go into the shrine and step on the upper tile, then choose the Move option. In the map, press Up to go to the Mountain of Souls.
