A list of the different personality types that villagers can have in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Personality Types

Personality TypeDescription
Cranky Cranky villagers act rude and annoyed. They can come across as old-fashioned.
Jock Jock villagers are obsessed with physical fitness and are always talking about training. They will encourage you to exercise, as well.
Lazy Lazy villagers often talk about food, and have a laid-back approach to life. They can come across as naïve.
Normal Normal villagers are friendly, kind, and sweet.
Peppy Peppy villagers are energetic and may sometimes seem hyperactive. They are obsessed with becoming famous.
Smug Smug villagers have sophisticated tastes and may come across as arrogant and self-absorbed.
Snooty Much like Smug villagers, Snooty villagers are sophisticated and may seem arrogant and rude.
Big Sister Big Sister villagers, also known as Uchi, come across as tough, but can be kind and protective to the player.
