The Player Search System is a feature in Pokémon X and Y that is similar to the C-Gear in the Generation V pokémon games. It allows you to trade, battle, and interact with players around the world.

Global Trade Station

The Player Search System gives access to the Global Trade Station, which allows you to trade pokémon with players worldwide. Players can now request pokémon that have not yet been registered in the pokédex.

Wonder Trade

In a Wonder Trade, you trade pokémon without knowing which pokémon you will receive.

O-Powers

Much like Pass Powers in Generation V games, O-Powers cause helpful effects and power-ups as a reward for being connected to the Internet and interacting with other players.

Shout Outs

Shout Outs are messages that you can receive from friends while connected to the Internet. You can also receive broadcast messages from others who have connected to the Internet at the same time.

Battle Spot

The Battle Spot allows you to participate in random match-ups.

Holo Caster

The Holo Caster is the Generation VI version of the Xtransceiver that uses holograms instead of two-dimensional images.
