After visiting the Angel Village and rescuing Kara from Ishtar's painting, you continue on to the Floating City of Watermia.
Explore Watermia
Leave Luke's house and go west to the house there. Go inside and talk to both Lance and his father. Then go toward the ladder and Lance will leave. Go to the southwest corner of Watermia and check on the northwest jar near the woman to find Red Jewel #28. Go into the house here to find a Dark Space.
Go to the southeast corner of Watermia and go into the Gambling House, then check on the northeast pot to find Red Jewel #29.
After that, go back into Luke's house. After some cutscenes, check your inventory. Equip Lance's letter and read it. When you are ready, go to the south end of town and go down the exit there, then choose to go to the Great Wall of China.
First Area
Go east along the wall. You will soon encounter an Archer, as well as Eyesores that shoot fireballs. Continue going east until you reach a room. Go into the door there.
In the lower level, kill the Eyesore that attacks, then go west. Kill the Archers that you encounter on the way, then go down the ladder at the west end of the room.
Down below, you reach a room that has a dirt floor. The flame enemies here are called Firebugs. Kill them as you go east. You will also find Archers and Eyesores in this room. To the east, there is a ladder. If you want to kill all of the enemies in this area, you have to go up this ladder and kill the two Archers on the west side. Then go back east to the ladder and go down.
Go east from the ladder to kill all of the enemies in the room. Go past the ladder to the east if you want to kill the rest of the monsters in this room. Then go back to the easternmost ladder of this room and go up.
Near the top of the ladder, look for the sparkle on the floor. Check on it to find a necklace stone from the necklace that Lance made for Lilly. Go east and kill the Archers, then go through the door at the east end of the room.
Go west, killing all of the Archers, Firebugs, and Eyesores. Go to the west end of the room and go through the door.
Up above, go east and you will be on the top of the wall again. Kill the Eyesore. That should be the last enemy, so you will get a DEF increase. Go east past the spears to reach the next area.
Second Area
Go east and kill the Archer near the ramp. Then fall down the hole on the left side of the room. At the bottom, you will be surrounded with stone warriors. Go to the east side of the room. One of the warriors comes to life and becomes an Archer. Kill it and go through the door.
Go to the far left side of this room, killing the Firebug and Archers. Go through the far west door. You will reach a chest that contains Red Jewel #30. Go back through the door, then go east and use the middle door.
Go east and kill the Firebugs, then continue going east and then go through the door.
Go west and kill the Archers and the Asp. If you want to kill all of the enemies in this area, then go into the middle area, go east past the spear, and go into the middle door. Kill the Eyesores and Asps in this room. Then go back through the door to return to the previous room. Go west and into the door there. In the next room, just go through the next door.
To the east, there are many doors. Kill the Archers and Asp in this room. Look for the sparkle on the floor in front of the second to last door. Check on it to get another necklace stone. Go through the door behind where the necklace stones were. Hit the switch in this room, then go back through the door. Go west and go into the leftmost of the five doors. You should be able to walk west and kill the Archers, then keep going west to the door at the end. Go through.
Kill the Archer up above, then go east along the top of the wall. Kill the Eyesore there to increase your HP (if you killed all of the monsters in this area). Then go east and run past the spears, then keep going east. Lilly will join you. Go east to the next area.
Third Area
Go into the door here. Kill the Archer and go west to get an herb from the chest. Go back upstairs. Go east down the four ramps, then if you want to kill all of the enemies in this area, go into the door. Kill the Firebug, Archers and Asps. You can hit the switch to make the spear go away, but it will come back after a few moments. Go west past the spear, then go through the door at the end. Go down the four ramps, then keep going so that you go over the next ramps. You will end up on the far east side of the area. You won't be able to go west, so you will have to return to this area later. For now, go east to the next area of the wall.
Fourth Area
If you want to kill all of the monsters in this area, go into the left door and kill the Asps, then go back upstairs and go into the right door and kill the Asps there. Then go upstairs and jump down the middle of the hole. Kill the Archers there. Then fall down the middle hole, and when you land, fall down the hole directly below you. You will reach a Dark Space. Go in. Stand in front of the statue of Will to receive the Spin Dash power. This lets you jump over ramps. To use it, hold the Attack button until you start flashing rapidly, alternate between pressing L and R until you spin more quickly and see four arrows around you. You can move in any direction while you spin, allowing you to go over ramps.
Leave the Dark Space and fall into the hole. Kill the Asps here to increase your DEF, then go through the west door.
Go west to the previous area.
Third Area Revisited
Use your Spin Dash power to go west over the ramps. Stop after going over two ramps. Go into the door there. Kill the Asps and Firebug in this room, then go west and go through the door there.
If you want to kill all of the enemies in this area, go east and kill the many Asps, Firebugs, and Eyesores. After that, go west again. Hit the lower switch and go up past the spear that disappeared. Hit the switch there, then run west to go past the second spear that disappeared. Go west and kill the Archers. When you kill them all, your HP increases. Go into the Dark Space here. Transform into Freedan if you want to.
Go east past the two spears, then hit the switch to remove the spear that is blocking your path. Then go east and go through the door.
Upstairs, go east until you reach a switch. Hit it twice to get rid of both spears, then go east and go through the door. Go east and you will reach the fourth area. Go east again to reach the fifth area.
Fifth Area
Use Freedan's Dark Friar ability to kill the Archer from a distance. This will open the path to the door. Go through the door.
Kill the Eyesore in this room, then go west and kill the four Archers. Go through the west door.
In this room, you have to move the statues out of your way. You can hit them with your weapon to move them away from you, or hold L or R to drag the statues toward you. Do this until you can reach the east side of the room, where there is a switch. Hit the switch to bring the statues to life. Then go west and kill them all. If you got rid of all of the monsters here, your DEF will increase. Go east and go through the door at the east side of the room.
Carefully go west past the two sets of spears, then go through the door on the left side of the room. Go east to reach the next area.
Sixth Area
There is a ramp blocking your path, so you have to transform back into Will. First, go through the door here.
If you want to kill all of the monsters in this area, go east and kill the many monsters there, then go to the west side of the room and kill the remaining enemies. Then go through the easternmost door.
In this room, look for the statues that have glowing eyes. Hit them to wake them up, then kill them. Your HP will increase if you got rid of all of the enemies in this area. In addition, a Dark Space will appear. Transform back into Will and save the game. Then go back to the upper level and use Spin Dash to go over the ramp to the east. Then if you are ready for the boss fight, go east to reach the boss.
Sand Fanger
Fall down from the gap in the wall, then drop down to the lower area. Sand Fanger will pop up from whirlpools. It may go straight up, then fall straight down afterward. Or it may go upward in a curve and go back into the sand several times. Or it might stick its head out of the sand and spit out eggs. Hit the eggs to prevent them from growing. The small sand worms will spit sand at you if you don't get rid of them. Sometimes instead of spitting an egg, Sand Fanger spits a bomb that makes a small explosion. Keep your distance from those.
Sand Fanger always emerges from the center of the strip of sand. You can be safe from Sand Fanger's damage if you stay at the bottom of the area.
Hit Sand Fanger's head when you can. Eventually it will die.
After Sand Fanger
You will get a Mystic Statue after defeating Sand Fanger. Go east to find a ladder. Go up. You can go west to save your game at the Dark Space if you wish. Then go back east to the area where you dropped into Sand Fanger's pit, and go east along the top of the wall to reach another area. Go into the door there. Then go west to find Lance. Lilly comes out and talks to Lance. Talk to Lance to give him the necklace. Then go east and a cutscene will begin.
Afterward, you will be back in Watermia. Go outside and go to the southeast corner of town, where the gambling house is. Go to the area to the right of the gambling house and go to the upper right corner of the raft. Wait for the lotus leaf to appear. Step on and ride the lotus leaf to the upper area. At the end, talk to the man and agree to play Russian Glass. Then talk to the man in the hat. The poisoned glass is on the right, so DON'T drink from it. Talk to the man in the hat after each time that you drink. Your opponent foolishly drinks from the last cup for no reason... Go back to the house where your friends are, and when you are ready to go, talk to Neil. You will all go to Euro.
