Swiftblade and his relatives are master swordsmen who use a special technique to train you: they temporarily possess your body to make you perform a sword skill. After that, you are awarded a Tiger Scroll and can perform the sword skill at will. There are eight total Tiger Scrolls, and you can also get some upgrades for your skills. Below is the list of skills and upgrades.
Spin Attack
Where to get it: From Swiftblade, who lives in a house in Hyrule Town.
Requirements: You have to have Smith's Sword to get this technique.
The technique: The spin attack allows you to charge up your sword, then spin it in a circle.
Sword Beam
Where to get it: From Grimblade, whose dojo can be found by cutting bushes in Hyrule Castle Garden to reveal a ladder.
Requirements: The lantern. You have to light torches to unlock Grimblade's door.
The technique: If your hearts are full, your sword will shoot a beam of energy when you swing it.
Dash Attack
Where to get it: From Swiftblade in Hyrule Town.
Requirements: Pegasus Boots
The technique: After you learn this, you will hold your sword while you dash with the Pegasus Boots.
Peril Beam
Where to get it: From Waveblade, whose dojo is in the Lake Hylia area.
Requirements: The flippers. You can only reach Waveblade's dojo by swimming. You also need at least ten full hearts, or Waveblade will refuse to train you.
The technique: If you are down to one heart or fewer, your sword will shoot a beam of energy.
Rock Breaker
Where to get it: From Swiftblade in Hyrule Town.
Requirements: The White Sword with at least two elements infused into it.
The technique: If you swing your sword at pots or rocks, you will break them.
Roll Attack
Where to get it: From Greyblade, on Mt. Crenel.
Requirements: The Grip Ring, and the White Sword with at least two elements infused into it (you need to split into two to unlock the dojo).
The technique: When you roll, you can swing your sword the moment you come out of the roll and you will dash forward with a sword thrust. This technique is difficult to pull off so it's not that useful.
Down Thrust
Where to get it: From Swiftblade in Hyrule Town.
Requirements: The Roc's Cape.
The technique: After jumping with the Roc's Cape, press the sword button to fall straight down with your sword pointing downward.
Great Spin Attack
Where to get it: From Swiftblade the First, whose grave is in Castor Wilds.
Requirements: Pegasus Boots (needed to traverse Castor Wilds) and all of the other Tiger Scrolls.
The technique: After doing a spin attack, keep pressing the sword button to continue spinning.
The Three Upgrades
Spirit Gauge Upgrade
Where to get it: From Splitblade, who can be reached in a Veil Falls waterfall after fusing Kinstones with Grimblade in Hyrule Castle Garden.
The upgrade: When you are charging up the spirit gauge to split into multiple Links, this upgrade will make it charge up more quickly.
Spin Attack Upgrade
Where to get it: From Scarblade, who can be reached in Castor Wilds after fusing Kinstones with Greyblade in Mt. Crenel.
The upgrade: You won't have to charge your sword up for quite as long before doing a spin attack.
Great Spin Attack Upgrade
Where to get it: From Greatblade, who can be reached in North Hyrule Field after fusing Kinstones with Waveblade in Lake Hylia.
The upgrade: You can Great Spin Attack for a longer duration after this upgrade.
