Vargur In Rust We Trust SKIN
typeID | 52432 |
Volume | 0.01 m³ |
Category | Permanent SKIN |
Description | This special nanocoating mimics a layer of oxidation products on the surface of the ship it is applied to for decorative effect. The allusion to used and repurposed ships from the early days of rebellion and subsequently the Republic's fleets celebrates the early days of Minmatar spaceship design and the considerable combat effectiveness of such craft. For many years past, Minmatar spaceship technology has developed to a high level with modern and powerful ships supplanting older designs, which themselves have been upgraded and improved many times over. Even so, the old slogan "In Rust We Trust" has the power to evoke pride and memories of the glory days of Minmatar guerilla warfare and liberation. |

Vargur Republic Police SKIN
typeID | 82187 |
Volume | 0.01 m³ |
Category | Permanent SKIN |
Description | The Republic Justice Police (RJP) are a uniformed branch of the Republic Justice Department, the law enforcement organization principally focused on fighting against crimes affecting the stability and security of the Republic and all the Tribes, such as terrorism, smuggling, and above all slavery. While other branches of the Republic Justice Department are active in more clandestine activities, such as counter-intelligence and supporting rebel groups in the Amarr Empire, the RJP tends to restrict its activities to internal crimes and co-operation with the various tribal and clan police forces in order to combat Republic-wide criminal networks. Given the complicated nature of jurisdiction and legality in the Tribal Republic of the Minmatar, the Republic Justice Police often encounter difficulties and outright disdain from many clans eager to maintain their rights and jealous of outside interference. Nevertheless, the RJP's units are often to be seen travelling across Republic space as the complexities and exceptions of space colonization and station life often mean that only the Republic's police forces can deal with the problems. Most colonies or stations prefer calling in the RJP rather than the paramilitaries of the Republic Security Services if a Republic presence is required. |

Vargur Snowline Bladeracer SKIN
typeID | 52888 |
Volume | 0.01 m³ |
Category | Permanent SKIN |
Description | In the icy climes of the Northern Mikramurka on Matar there are many traditional forms of transport that take advantage of the snow and ice fields to be found there. One of the most celebrated is still found as a traditional sport around the seismically active western interior of that region. The "bladeracer" sled competitions are usually held on the relatively gentle slopes of the dormant shield volcanoes typically found in the area. The climate means that the upper reaches of the volcanoes are covered in snow and ice all year round but the lower areas remain rather fertile and are warmed by vents. The consequent profusion of heathers and mosses give the hills and slopes their characteristic purple coloration during the "warm" season. |

Vargur Zakura Shumyu SKIN
typeID | 57072 |
Volume | 0.01 m³ |
Category | Permanent SKIN |
Description | The concept of 'Zakura Shumyu' encapsulates an idealized existential humility of the citizenry of the Caldari State in the presence of something greater, symbolized by the wind passing through Zakura cherry blossoms. Zakura Hansei refers to the large family of ornamental cherry trees that feature heavily in Caldari State parks and executive aboriculture. The Zakura cherry trees and their blossoms have become a part of Caldari symbolism dating back to the formation of the first corporations on Caldari Prime. Cherry trees are found on the home worlds of the four major empires where growing conditions and land permits. Popular as an ornamental tree for the mass flowering of cherry blossoms that break out as warm seasons begin, there are many varieties found across New Eden. Cherry trees of the Zakura Hansei family became popular with the Caldari, particularly as the hardier varieties were able to fluorish in the more temperate regions of the notoriously cold Caldari Prime. In the Caldari State, the large and splendid Zakura Bazei variety is often a feature of corporate parks and executive class gardens. The Caldari gave the name 'Zakura' to these blossoming trees and these varieties are known by that name as far afield as the ornamental arboretums of the Amarr Empire. In a historical irony, this family of cherry trees is actually native to Gallente Prime, and the cherry was not known on Caldari Prime until it was introduced some time after first contact with the Gallente. |

Vedmak Hadean Horror SKIN
typeID | 48654 |
Volume | 0.01 m³ |
Category | Permanent SKIN |
Description | Entertainment corporations across New Eden have been quick to rush out new holoreel productions focusing on the Triglavians and Abyssal Deadspace. Be it Echelon Entertainment's patriotic "Abyssal Intruders", the Leisure Group's lurid "Triglavian Tryst", or the wildly popular "Hadean Horrors" from Impetus. Using the special effects from "Hadean Horrors" as a template, a nanocoating and holographic package for the capsuleer market was developed for those pilots who have adopted Triglavian ship designs. This monstrous design lends a somewhat alien menace to ships it is applied to, enhancing the intimidating and aggressive look of Triglavian vessels. |
Vedmak Metamateria Exotica SKIN
typeID | 50141 |
Volume | 0.01 m³ |
Category | Permanent SKIN |
Description | Experiments with Triglavian ship technology have included focus on the various metamaterials used in their construction. Taking advantage of the similarity of Triglavian hull coatings to the nanocoatings used with New Eden ship technology, a number of tests have been carried out aimed at achieving stealth effects in Abyssal Deadspace environments. One attempt at achieving a disruptive, stealth camouflage effect involved using exotic metamaterials to achieve a similarity to the exotic particle fields that can be found in certain abyssal environments. While the resultant nanocoating pattern is very striking, it is of very limited use as camouflage, with detection systems being quite capable of picking out ships using it even against the background of heavy exotic particle storms. |
Vedmak Netherworld Striker SKIN
typeID | 50157 |
Volume | 0.01 m³ |
Category | Permanent SKIN |
Description | Developed to celebrate the efforts of capsuleers striking into the depths of Abyssal Deadspace, when this high visibility nanocoating catches a stray beam of light it makes an impressive showing, even in the netherworld of the Triglavian Collective. |
Vedmak Red Meatgrinder SKIN
typeID | 52322 |
Volume | 0.01 m³ |
Category | Permanent SKIN |
Description | This special commemorative nanocoating celebrates the historic Siege of C-J6MT, a major battle from the early years of capsuleer empire-building and territorial warfare. In May YC108, the Siege of C-J6MT began as the beleaguered forces of Red Alliance formed to defend their last stronghold against their deadly foes in the "Coalition of the South". Although outnumbered, the Red Alliance pilots were determined to sell themselves dearly and based their tactics around their core defensive starbase and packs of hit-and-run Tempest-class battleships. When Coalition forces mounted their assault, the starbase and Tempest squadrons wreaked havoc on the attackers. So high was the butcher's bill racked up by the Red Alliance starbase it was given the nickname "The Meatgrinder" by the defenders. Ultimately, the Siege of C-J6MT was won by Red Alliance and proved a turning point in the conflict with the Coalition of the South. |

Vedmak Singularity Storm SKIN
typeID | 48650 |
Volume | 0.01 m³ |
Category | Permanent SKIN |
Description | Triglavian ships use a nanocoating technology on their external surfaces that is sufficiently similar to that used with the ships of other races to allow adaptation of commercial nanocoatings for use with them. Some configurations of the nanocoatings produce striking effects due to the interaction between the surface coating and the unusual design elements of Triglavian vessels. One of these configurations takes a small amount of the excess radiation from the singularity energy systems of Triglavian ships and produces an electrical discharge on the surface of the ship. While eye-catching and unusual, this effect has a negligible impact on the performance characteristics of the ship. |

Description | Polar lights are a common sight on many planets across New Eden, varying according to atmospheric conditions, planetary magnetic fields, and the stellar wind of the local star. Many cultures consider these dramatic displays in the skies of their planets to be awe-inspiring and dramatic, and they are the source of much myth and art. In some cases, extreme aurora activity can be a portent of impending disaster, and increased or even extreme stellar activity can indeed wreak havoc on inhabited planets. Even so, the Luminae Polaris nanocoating celebrates the more attractive and inspiring side of these dramatic phenomena. |
Velator Biosecurity Responders SKIN
typeID | 55593 |
Volume | 0.01 m³ |
Category | Permanent SKIN |
Description | CONCORD Biosecurity Responders are available to be dispatched on emergency call to any space stations, orbital infrastructure or other space-industrial locations in response to disease and pathogen outbreaks of all kinds. The challenges of maintaining biosecurity against infectious pathogens and other disease vectors in space-based infrastructure are multiplied by the cosmopolition and highly-interconnected nature of New Eden's space industry and trade networks. This long-recognised problem was for many decades dealt with by the empires, nations and corporations of New Eden in a rather piecemeal fashion, with disputes over jurisdiction and differing standards commonly arising. Following the Kyonoke Crisis of YC119, and the passage of the interstellar "Hope for All Act", CONCORD established Biosecurity Response Teams, and began to build up its capacity and expertise in the fields of epidemiology and disease management. To that end, CONCORD reached out to partners such as the University of Caille's Department of Epidemiology, Hedion University's School of Medicine, the Sisters of EVE, and the Society of Conscious Thought. Biosecurity Responders are a vital link in any effort to isolate and analyze infectious pathogens spreading through New Eden's space infrastructure, and crucially to prevent spread to planetary populations. Research to develop effective biosecurity methods, treatments and pathogen controls rely on the field research and data provided by the Biosecurity Reponse Teams. |

The work articulates the vision of Empress Catiz I for the Amarr Empire's future and her invocation of the ancient doctrine that the ruler of the Empire wields the sword of spiritual authority alongside a sword of temporal power. |
